In 1914 Himalayas, a tragic event occurs at the Mopu palace on the side of a mountain. In 1934, Sister Clodagh (Gemma Arterton) is sent to the remote palace to establish a new school with four other nuns where the German brothers had failed the previous year. Mr. Dean (Alessandro Nivola) is their local fixer. Sister Ruth (Aisling Franciosi) is the young one.
It's a ghost story. The location is interesting but it's still a ghost in a mansion story. As such, this is about twice as long as it needs to be. It is slow. If the possession happens sooner, more psychological damage can be delivered sooner. It only gets there in the last half of the third episode. By the way, somebody should put up some railings.
