It was an inspiring moment, when Bachelor Nation reached into its past and named Clare Crawley, who first appeared on The Bachelor in 2014, as the next Bachelorette. Now also a veteran of Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelor Winter Games, Clare remains best known for telling Juan Pablo Galavis off when he gave her the brush before not-proposing to Nikki Ferrell and shirking the usual declaration of love that caps off each season (even when the declarer later has second thoughts). "I thought I knew what kind of man you were and—I'm not done," Clare said as a not terribly broken up Juan Pablo attempted to cut her off at the pass with some bemused...

Despite how things ended between them on “The Bachelor” and their recent Twitter tiff, Juan Pablo Galavis insists he’s “happy” for Clare Crawley to lead “The Bachelorette” and wants her to find true love.
“I never had any bad blood with her,” the Season 18 star told “Life & Style. “She has been looking for love for some time and she totally deserves it. … She has been a part of the franchise shows for years, and now, she has the chance to pick who can potentially be the love of her life. Not an easy task, but a great opportunity for her.”
“She just has to follow her heart, do what she believes is best for her future, be real and not let the show pressure her into making the wrong decision,” he added.

If you can't get enough of The Bachelor franchise, there's good news today. ABC has announced that they've renewed their Bachelor in Paradise TV show for a fifth season.
Season five of the show will air twice a week -- on Mondays and Tuesdays -- beginning Tuesday, August 7th. The cast will be announced at a later date. This will be the fourth series in the franchise that has aired this year, joining The Bachelor, The Bachelor Winter Games (which ran as counterprogramming to the Winter Olympics), and The Bachelorette, which is currently airing.
It's unclear if the alphabet network will be reviving the Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise companion show. That series ran for two seasons and last aired in the summer of 2016.

The new dating reality show Ex on the Beach is exactly what it sounds like. Quoth one contestant as she sees a dude emerging from the surf, "Oh my god, that's my f--king ex." Yes, MTV is showing off its sadistic streak by inviting both reality stars and normal folks to a tropical resort and then letting their exes crash the party. Even better, the Ex on the Beach cast is filled with names you'll likely recognize. (And we're not just talking about host Romeo Miller.) MTV bills the show as a "social experiment" with "10 romantically embattled reality stars [and] everyday singles who show up for what they think is a run-of-the-mill love and dating show in paradise, only to be completely blindsided by their exes (in some cases multiple) face-to-face. A complicated web of hookups, deceit, revenge, and drama unfolds against the sultry backdrop as couples decide if their love can be reignited,...

Dean Unglert's got a lot to think about following his recent split from The Bachelor Winter Games' Lesley Murphy, who left the show as a couple, only to break up last week after four months of dating. The candid reality star opened up about what went wrong on the the brand new episode of his iHeartRadio podcast Help! I Suck at Dating with Dean Unglert, entitled "What's Inside My Head." Dean explains on the podcast that before going on the most recent Bachelor iteration, a friend asked him, "What's the one thing that you want out of a relationship going in?" "The one thing I want is just to know I feel loved back. I want to feel loved," responded the reality...

Rachel Lindsay is sounding off on ex-boyfriend Dean Unglert's recent breakup. The Bachelorette star was recently asked about Dean (who she dated during her season of the ABC competition series) during an appearance on iHeartRadio's "The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast." As Bachelor Nation knows, Dean left The Bachelor Winter Games in a relationship with Lesley Murphy, which E! News reported last week had come to an end over what a source described as "distance" issues. Dean and Lesley's split came as a surprise to Rachel, as she explained, "I actually thought they were a really good match for each other. I thought that they had a lot...

It's been a rough week in Bachelor Nation. Two couples from The Bachelor Winter Games have called it quits recently, with Clare Crawley and Benoit Beauséjour-Savard announcing the end of their engagement, and then E! News exclusively revealing Dean Unglert and Lesley Murphy had also split. Sadly, break-ups are nothing new for fans of The Bachelor franchise, with many of the couples splitting up since the first season aired in 2002. Listen, not every couple can be Trista and Ryan or Sean and Catherine, right?! What is always interesting is the reasoning behind the various splits, at least according to both parties, aka it's he said, she said, reality TV...

Ouch. Or as Benoit would probably say: Aie. Bachelor Nation was hit with sad news on Thursday night, with The Bachelor Winter Games' engaged couple Clare Crawley and Benoit Beausejour-Savard revealing the end of their engagement in a lengthy joint Instagram post. "It's with a heavy heart that we have mutually decided to end our relationship," the couple wrote of their split, which happened just two months after their televised engagement. Call us suckers but we were really hoping these two would last after their adorable proposal, which Robert Mills, the senior VP of alternative programming at ABC, said is "still one of my all time favorite moments in #Bachelor History." ...

Breaking up is hard, but breaking up on TV may be harder. Whether you're watching The Bachelor, The Bachelorette or one of its many equally addictive spinoffs, many contestants leave their show without a fairy-tale proposal or significant other. At the same time, those same ladies and gentlemen come home to a new level of fame and opportunity to find the man or woman of their dreams. Luckily for fans, they are able to watch the new relationships blossom or in some cases, watch statuses go from totally taken to totally single. Just this week, followers of ABC's franchise learned Luke Pell is back with his ex Holly Allen after sparks failed to fly on The Bachelor Winter Games. As...

Where did the spark go!? Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt have gone from the slopes to the fantasy suite to the real world together after hitting it off on The Bachelor Winter Games, but less than a month after the finale they revealed that they're not still together. And the reason why? It's pretty "harsh." "It sounds a little harsh but it's just that lack of magic," said Ashley on her podcast with Ben Higgins, where Kevin was a guest for the day. "We get along very well, but there's just a little something missing and you can't really pinpoint what it is. That's just how I feel." Kevin, apparently, agreed. The Bachelor franchise has seen a few falls from grace. Yet few have been as severe and as quick as what happened with Luke Pell on the finale of The Bachelor Winter Games. Yet at the reunion all of the shine on Luke's Winter Games stint lost its luster. In quick succession Luke went from one of the most charming Bachelor stars to the most reviled and with very good reason.

The latest brainchild of the Bachelor franchise is The Bachelor Winter Games, which mixes all the usual drama, hookups and breakups of Bachelor in Paradise with contestants competing in winter sports. For two weeks, sexy singles from the American and international versions of The Bachelor have been exploring foreign relations and diplomacy in a whole new way. Overall, the show has been vastly entertaining and what fans would expect from the world's most famous reality dating show. But things took an oddly disturbing turn at the last Rose Ceremony when the remaining seven couples were forced to engage in a kissing contest with the lowest-scoring couple sent home. While viewers expect to see lots of lip locking when it comes to the show, this gratuitous display of forced Pda was a new low for the franchise.

NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics on Thursday night drew 16 million total viewers and a 3.9 demo rating, ticking down from Wednesday’s PyeongChang lows while off 30 and 34 percent from the same night in Sochi 2014.
Coverage reportedly peaked from 10:45-11pm Et, which featured men’s short program figure skating.

Things are officially heating up on Winter Games. Thought it's only episode two of The Bachelor Winter Games, real relationships are forming and people are getting hurt left and right (and not just from falling on the ice during the speed-skating competition). Maybe it's the addition of the international competitors, but everyone seems to be taking this really seriously (again, aside from the actual sporting events). By the end of the ABC reality spinoff's episode on Thursday night, several serious relationships had been formed. Here's a quick relationship status report on Winter Games' couples, based on the rose ceremony, which found the men handing out the roses: Rose...

As a whole The Bachelor franchise is pretty bizarre. It's a show built on finding a marriage partner after three dates (maybe). Even given Bachelor Nation's prosperity for weirdness, The Bachelor Winter Games is so strange, it defies description. It's part Bachelor in Paradise, part ill-fated Bachelor Pad, somehow, inspired by the Winter Olympics and all trashy reality TV fun.
The second episode of Winter Games isn't as outrageous as the first. For example, traditional rose ceremonies are now back. Yet Winter Games still manages to be an amusing but curious corner of the ever stranger Bachelor Nation.

Bachelor Nation, meet your new obsession: Yuki Kimura. "There is one star that will take over America and become maybe the biggest star in the world and her name is Yuki," host and co-executive producer Chris Harrison predicted ahead of The Bachelor Winter Games Feb. 13 premiere. And after the reality spinoff's debut on Tuesday night, it's safe to say he was right, as The Bachelor Japan season one star quickly became a fan-favorite. Come on, how can you resist, "Dean, please me rose, Ok?" "She's just so compelling, she's so sweet, she's so funny," Harrison gushed. "And she was our biggest challenge because she spoke so little English that we...

Well, that was barely worth a silver medal. ABC’s premiere of “The Bachelor Winter Games” finished in a very distant second place behind NBC’s actual Olympics, which were headlined around 10 p.m. Et by Shaun White’s (pictured above) dramatic gold medal win. NBC was first in ratings with a 5.2 rating/20 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 20.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. ABC’s The Bachelor Winter Games got a chilly reception on Tuesday, premiering to barely 3 million viewers with a 0.8 demo rating.
That said, the time slot filler did tie CBS’ NCIS rerun (6.9 mil/0.8) for the night’s non-Olympics demo “win.” Capping ABC’s lineup, a movie romance-themed 20/20 special did 2.2 mil and a 0.4.
NBC’s coverage of the PyeongChang games averaged 20.1 million and a 5.2, right on par with Monday’s numbers though down 15 and 21 percent from the same night in Sochi 2014. Coverage peaked from 10-10:15 p.m. Et — and hit a PyeongChang peak high in the overnights — during Shaun White...

Bachelor Nation can rejoice now that they don't have to wait until summer to watch their favorite singles get a second (or third or fourth) shot at love on Bachelor in Paradise. Stars of the popular franchise have traded in their swimsuits for snowsuits for The Bachelor Winter Games. Instead of sitting around on the beach, throwing back cocktails and going on dream dates, The Bachelor Winter Games cast has gathered in Vermont to participate in a variety of winter sports in order to win date cards and either fall in love or experience the "agony of heartbreak."
Since love is the universal language, Winter Games includes international contestants as well. But since this is the good ole' USA, there are plenty of familiar faces in the mix, including the thrice-unlucky-in-love Ashley Iaconetti. Ashley's already picked out her Prince Charming, but she's got some stiff competition. Will Ashley finally get a happy ending,...

Though The Bachelor season 22 is in full swing, the franchise is in a bit of a slump. Arie Luyendyk, Jr. is leaving a lot to be desired as a charismatic lead. Things aren't quite as fun or interesting as they should be. Yet riding in a snow-covered sleigh filled with booze, desperation and tears is The Bachelor Winter Games!
The newest spin-off for Bachelor Nation is a take-off on the Winter Olympics. A group of needy Bachelor stars from America and other nations have been joined together to compete against one another and for each other's hearts. It's as stupid and wonderful as it sounds.

The Bachelor Winter Games stars Ashley Iaconetti, Dean Unglert, and Eric Bigger are spilling all the behind-the-scenes secrets about the Olympics-themed reality spinoff.
Opening up to People Now during a game of “Most Likely To,” the trio cover everything from pre-filming jitters to romantic revelations.
To kick things off, Unglert names Iaconetti the “most likely to complain about the cold weather.” Iaconetti responds, “Really? I think I wasn’t complaining about it.”
In classic “he said, she said” fashion, Unglert retorts, “I think you complained everyday”
The next superlative goes to Courtney Dober, the Australian Bachelorette representative, for “most likely...

The only universal language? Love, and no franchise knows that better than The Bachelor. ABC's longrunning franchise has expanded to 37 countries since it first hit U.S. airwaves in 2002 (though it's worth noting some international versions have only aired one season). This meant there were 36 casting pools the producers had never even dipped a toe in...until February 13, with the premiere of The Bachelor Winter Games. The reality juggernaut's latest spinoff brings together contestants from all over the globe to compete in winter-themed sports and, of course, love, the most challenging sport of all. It's a major event in the 15-year-old franchise's history, and it all came to...
