I won't put ten stars only because of the midcast concerning the lead character, who doesn't look like a punk, but a gentle medicine or law student. That's my own opinion. That young actor is nevertheless outstanding. This masterpiece is awesome, cliché ridden, showing only the reality, the true life, methods of the street punks. You can compare with Akhenaton's COMME UN AIMANT, another terrific depiction of Marseilles hoodlums. Or Eric Zonca's LE PETIT VOLEUR, close to this one. The bulk of the cast is made of non pros actors, and that's the main strength of this feature, they speak as they usually do in real life. So shame that this film was not better shown. The ending made me think about AMERICAN ME, and a reference to Jules Caesar.
