Movie: Raja The Great (UA): Action/Masala - Telugu
Positives:
Negatives:
Repeat value: Yes (especially for the fights)
RAJA THE GREAT might not be a perfect film, but it's a likable entertainer given the fact that it has plenty of mass elements to keep even an average viewer entertained. I just ended up watching it on Prime Video since its concept and promos impressed me. So if you're looking for 2 and a half hours fun, go and watch it!
Positives:
- Ravi Teja is the soul of the film. His strong performance and screen presence proves why he is called mass maharaja.
- The fight sequences are a delight to watch as they are very well executed and look visually stunning, especially the interval fight and the climax fight.
- The songs are really good and melodious.
- The visual appeal of the film in the first half is very good.
- The entire pre-interval episode and the interval blockade are both excellent and simply the best part of the film.
Negatives:
- The comedy does work in parts, but it simply falls flat in the first half and even in the second half at times.
- The editing could've been better as the film could've been easily shorter.
- The placement of songs in the second half is not very convincing, though the songs being good can make you ignore this to some extent.
Repeat value: Yes (especially for the fights)
