Welcome to Daisy's Wedding Corner
lavatch13 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The "psycho" of this film is Jenna Kravitz, who lives with her aunt. The two women work out of their home in a successful dress-making business. In the film, Jenna is described as a "pathetic dressmaker." But in addition to her sewing abilities, she has some psychological skills of entrapping people. She is also losing the battle against her own pathological predispositions for murder.

Jenna' s mother killed her father, who was the brother of Auntie Daisy. From all appearances, the father did nothing wrong. In the next generation, Jenna is acting out the problems of her mother. At least that is the psychological analysis of Daisy about her problematic niece. At one point, Jenna dumps her mother's ashes in the toilet. (Or are they the ashes of the father?) The audience will remember the line more than the plot detail, when Jenna gleefully says, "Ashes to ashes, flush to flush."

But the performer who is the scene stealer is Auntie, who is guilty of some pretty heavy emotional abuse of her niece. Unfortunately for viewers, Auntie gets bumped off all too early in the film.

There are numerous victims of the evil Jenna, including the two best friends of the newlyweds, Jason and Marci. But Jenna's obsession is with Jason. This was the reason that she crashed the wedding party. It will now be up to one strong-willed woman in the character of Marci to sort things out and discover the deep, dark secrets of Daisy's Wedding Corner.

People, this is a MELODRAMA! Don't expect so much...
vnssyndrome894 July 2023
THE WEDDING STALKER/PSYCHO WEDDING CRASHER TV Movie (2017)

BASIC PLOT: Jenna Kravitz (Heather Elizabeth Morris) is not the woman you want making your wedding gown. She has a tendency to become fixated on "the perfect groom". Her current obsession is Glenn Cooper (Jason Cermak). He's the soon to be husband of Marci Belle (Fiona Vroom), who happens to be having her custom wedding dress made at Jenna's salon. What could possibly go wrong?

WHAT WORKS: *Joan Van Ark plays Jenna's psychotic Aunt Daisy, and she does it with style. She hurls vile insults at Jenna with vitriol, it's melodramatic perfection!

*Marci (Fiona Vroom) finds lipstick (not her color) and cheap cologne in her bed, and confronts Glenn. In typical male fashion, he gets angry. Women's distrust of men is deep seeded, from centuries of experience. There are several plot lines that work here, based on this distrust. Whether it's cheating or inappropriate sexual behavior, women are hard wired to believe the worst of men, even if it's not true.

*There are three types of movies on Lifetime. This is the second type, melodrama. According to dictionary. C o m, the definition of melodrama is "a dramatic form that does not observe the laws of cause & effect and that exaggerates emotion & emphasizes plot or action at the expense of characterization."

In other words, this is a PERFECT MELODRAMA. The characters are not so well defined, but their motives are. If you watch this movie with that in mind, you'll like it a whole lot more. You're not supposed to take the over-the-top motives too seriously, it's pure silly entertainment. STOP LOOKING FOR EMMYS FROM LIFETIME MOVIES!

WHAT DOESN'T WORK: *Jenna "runs into" Marci at the golf course. Marci doesn't remember Jenna at first, but once she does, she invites Jenna to her honeymoon luau party. This whole scene is flawed, and I'm not sure anyone would invite this strange woman anywhere.

*Scott Harrison (Robert Salvador) is one of Glenn & Marci's oldest friends. He's kind of a tool, but because he's the life of the party, Marci thinks Scott will bring Jenna out of her shell. On their date, Jenna feigns an assault, and runs to Marci & Glenn's house. Marci believes Jenna when she claims Scott attempted to rape her. Glenn does not. If you've known someone this long, you wouldn't be so quick to believe it. Marci also lets Jenna stay the night after the "assault". It's not plausible you'd disbelieve one of your oldest friends, and let a complete stranger stay in your home.

TO RECOMMEND, OR NOT TO RECOMMEND, THAT IS THE QUESTION: *IF you can understand the art form that is melodrama, and you like that type of entertainment, you'll like this. If you are looking for lots of believable characters and motives in your TV movies, then give this a pass. This is very middle of the road, made-for-tv, melodramatic faire.

CLOSING NOTES: *This is a Made-For-TV movie, please keep that in mind before you watch\rate it. TV movies have a much lower budget, and so your expectations should be adjusted.

*I have no connection to the film, or production in ANY way. I am just an honest viewer, who wishes for more straight forward reviews. Hope I helped you out.

Silly Warning: Spoilers
Wife finds strange perfume scent and other woman's lipstick on the bed pillow and when she confronts the innocent husband he doesn't look the least bit concerned that there was obviously a woman in their bed while they were both out of the house that morning. He just acts insulted at the wife's accusation and walks away lol. What the hell?! Since they both woke up that morning in the bed when there was no scent or lipstick then, that obviously tells them that someone else was in their home while they did their morning errands that day. Where's the concern?? It's so silly how characters never possess basic logic or common sense in these Lifetime films.....Yet I still watch.

Warning: Spoilers
So, let me understand this. We are to believe that writers Bryan Dick, Ken Sanders and Daniel West are saying in their story that it is alright for someone to kill innocent people and get away with it? No wonder there are so many psychos out there committing murder. And mass murder at that. I'm sorry this is sick and shameful that the public are forced to accept this. I blame the damn writers for making us witness this. I kept watching and waiting for the plain Jane to get her due. But no she gets away with this. I wanted to rip the screen apart. But I can tell the writers to stop your crime does pay stories. The actors were okay and did as much as the God awful script demanded. But not one performance had any empathy. All characters are vain and stupid. This is coming from the writers not the actors. I wish I could give the a minus vote as it is a disgusting piece of crap.

Soooo Bad

That my daughter walked in near the end of the movie and asked if this was a skit from a comedy show she thought it was a parody. Acting was horrible, plot was ridiculous, I don't have words.

A silly but fun lifetime thriller
mjanssens269 April 2021
This is a fun Lifetime thriller with a decent body count. It's great to see Joan Van Ark play such a loon. The young cast are great, especially the leading girl whose character kills to find love... literally. A fast paced and fun watch with some good twists.

One of the better psychos of the week
phd_travel31 August 2018
Heather Morris of Glee is pretty good in this Lifetime thriller. A girl who lives with her nasty aunt who runs a wedding dress shop fantasizes about a groom of a wedding they designed for.

The point of view of a psycho is well done with the fantasy and reality nicely blended. It's fun to watch how she insinuates herself into the lives of the couple she is obsessing about.

Quite well done.

A silly psychological thriller about one woman's quest to find love
lisafordeay14 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Heather Norris from Glee fame plays Jenna Kravitz in this 2017 tv thriller who dreams of getting married, and having the perfect life. So she becomes a dressmaker for one of the brides who's fiance Jenna fancies. But will Jenna's dark side be revealed.

I don't know what it is about girls called Jenna as they always have a thing for ruining weddings and stealing the fiance off the ladies(if your name is Jenna I do apologise ).

This is why I bought the Lifetime movie app!
missraze2 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, ok, I admit that Lifetime is a guilty pleasure. Every film has a guy named SCOTT. Every Lifetime movie has a perky dimwit living in a perfect bubble of upper middle classed oblivion.

Every Lifetime movie has transparent red herrings such as the obnoxious jerk (in this case, an aunt) who you'd think if you weren't much of a thinker was the bad guy/woman.

Every Lifetime movie has the most horrifying title (psycho, murder, and other words that are banned I'm sure) yet the film underneath is a cookie cutter chick flick full of feisty fashionistas, like an edgy Hallmark film.

But THAT'S WHY I LOVE THESE LIFETIME FILMS. Just enough thrill without being scary. Just enough twists and turns without being confusing, even if they're anti climactic. So that requires some cheesiness and unrealistic drama to make it viewable on family TV. If I wanted a cutthroat horror, I would watch paranormal or slasher stuff on HBO or F/X at night (which I don't mind, but that's not why I watch Lifetime).

It's another mindlessly entertaining movie which is very necessary for someone who needs to relax.

One thing I love about this movie is that they gave the psycho chick a perfectly great, handsome, sexy, charming, seductive (and single) beau, but she was too distracted by hatred and jealousy of the bride that she ignored what she had of her own. It just emphasized her craziness and so I hated her. So the movie succeeded in making her a villain. Although the actress looks like a specific female who I actually know and who I strongly hate, she did a good job even though sometimes she acted a bit sarcastic. Such as, making pretend sad faces when someone died in front of her. It made the scene funny. Is homicide funny? No.

The way she slithered her way into the bride and groom's life was unique compared to other films where the leading damsel just stupidly trusts the villain. In this case, she guilted the couple with a pretty believable lie. So trust wasn't the issue, it was keeping the villain at bay and keeping her quiet. It's happened a few times in these movies, but rarely. So I credit them here.

One thing I hated about this movie but noted as a learning experience for real life, is that these people excluding the villain are clearly sorors and frats. They cover for each other when another is guilty. Bride: "You know what he's like, honey. He's been doing this since college." Groom: "well I've known him since college and he wouldn't do this. Let me talk to him." "No, she might consider dropping charges. Let me deal with it." And thus the villain can pop up whenever she wants and the couple must let her with nervous smiles. Unbeknownst to them, it's a lie. It's great.

The actress playing the aunt was perfect.

*I am only giving my opinion, I won't give a synopsis or cast listing because that's what google or the imdb homepage is for.

One of my favorites

The sheer lunacy of the premise is worth the watch ALONE! Heather Morris did a great job in this. Joan Van Ark as the aunt was well played. The acting, nothing spectacular, but keeps you engaged.

Tired of seeing villains
CranberriAppl7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Get away. I've seen this movie before and watched it again. This movie pissed me off more than I originally remembered. I'm so tired of Lifetime villains getting off scot free. It's entertaining less often than they want to believe. This psycho gets to kill, falsely accuse, attack, attempt to murder and she gets away at the end to terrorize more people. We're supposed to believe that the aunt (Joan Van Ark) just goes missing, and in spite of being a successful and busy seamstress, no one cares. A car goes over a cliff...nothing. Did the couple even report some nutjob tried to kill them?

I didn't watch Glee, so the villain was unknown to me, but the others, JVA, and a few people I recognize from Hallmark are the reason I watched. But this movie really should have had whatever her name was responsible for her crimes. This movie was made in 2018 and they're still doing this trope. I'm sick of it.

(the more I wrote this review, the more stars I took away)
