I loved the idea of this competition! Modernizing the fairy tale characters, not using them the way we know them from cartoons but just their background story. I was very excited to see what the designers will come up with and for the most part I was not disappointed.
Kini's design was interesting. But really that thing in the back looked like a humpback. I really would put Emily into the top 3 instead. I loved her snow queen! It had the element of cold and her being badass, as well as very modern. Was happy for Asha with her amazing idea but I would also be happy if Dom won with her very cool Tinkerbell costume.
Sam's design was pretty cool. I would wear it. I can see how it was not in the top though because of the great designs that were there. Still it was a great and original idea, Sam is a great designer and Kini should get over himself.
Layana's dress is something I would wear but I could see she would be in the bottom because it is the kind of dress that I buy in the stores. I liked Alexander's dress but it was really not Cinderella. It seemed a bit too conservative. When Kesha said it made her think of bridesmaid dresses I could see it.
