Well done documentary on the power of vitamin supplementation.
kirc-7770022 March 2017
Though some would throw out one whole category of evidence, that being anecdotal evidence - and it is evidence, though perhaps not the most highly esteemed especially among the medical profession. It is largely the medical professions ignorance about the information provided in "The Vitamin Movie" that has given us a thirst for this valuable and ignored healthful advice. I highly recommend that those of you considering watching it to give it a serious chance at helping you understand through the real experiences of others. Weigh what is presented as you would anything else that really matters and even be willing to try some of it on yourself. Those results are way better than any old 'high status' clinical trial data which applies only to the masses NOT an individual.

Very Useful Info Big Pharma Doesn't Want You to Know
shop-2922 March 2017
Big Pharma can only make money from chemicals they invent, so natural ones like vitamins, minerals and food-based supplements get few research dollars. Thus there are still lots of good questions about natural substances already found in our bodies. This movie addresses some of the more promising areas for healing, some of which have solid science. If you're waiting for your doctor to figure out that vitamin C might cure cancer, it will be a long wait. Big Pharma wants to sell you their pricey drugs and they control most of the medical journals and continuing medical education for doctors.

Before you yell, "snake oil," keep in mind that research is required for both proof and disproof. If I claim that vitamin mega doses cured my thyroid cancer and you say that's nonsense, both of us need science to establish our position. Nowhere in the scientific method does it say "shoot down all new ideas." The problem is most doctors aren't researching vitamins and Big Pharma's marketing departments don't want us to know how effective some supplements are.

If you care to educate yourself about natural remedies, this movie is a good place to start. Only open minds learn.

Really Useful Scientific Information
nbuchanan-2431322 March 2017
A really useful film which brings together lots of useful practical information. Our bodies run off Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids and Enzymes. The knowledge in this film is potentially life saving. Well done the makers! In particular, I found the information concerning dosage to be very helpful. Vitamins may help where medicine has failed. Indeed if they really help, then many medicine companies would rather they didn't - your health affects their wealth.

Great information
mandyh-8460622 March 2017
So much good information about vitamins and mega-dose therapy! If you enjoyed Food Matters and are looking for more information about preventing disease, staying healthy and healing yourself without Big Pharma, watch this movie. Our family has had great success in reducing my daughter's asthma symptoms with high doses of vitamin C, which I would never have thought to try if it weren't for an article I read by Dr. Saul. Great thanks to the makers of the film. Kudos!

I love this movie!
njimenez-3812722 March 2017
Dr Saul's website has helped me many times over the last few years. I was fighting RA and when I learned I should not eat dairy or red meat and then load up on mega doses of Vit C, that really really changed my life. I could go upstairs again! Since then I research everything I can about vitamins and how this will help the body with out drugs from your doctor. I tell everyone I know about Dr Saul and how he has helped me. I hope he continues and does not give up because we need strong people like him helping all of us. Thank you for making this movie!!!

dyshaydada22 March 2017
I watched most of this movie and absolutely appreciate every thing I saw. Very well researched information delivered by very professional & competent individuals. The movie is easy to follow and explains how to incorporate vitamins into your own regime. They explain how to research for yourself and encourage this practice. I loved it so much!! And I have always been anti vitamin supplements; I just wanted my vitamins from food. But since this I have started vitamins for me & my children. Thank you & god bless your information

Do NOT Miss This Movie
bandongypsy22 March 2017
For once a documentary that can change your life. This movie is so well done and so packed with information that I watched it twice. Then I took the advice of some of the people in the movie and upped various vitamins that I was taking and I feel so much better because of it. Vitamin C saved my husband's life so I'm always interested in documentaries that show how important vitamins are. They were ready to do open heart surgery on my husband. Instead they put stints in but he was sill not feeling well a month later and had no quality of life. Then he started taking MEGA DOSES of Vitamin C and got his life back!! He was unable to walk around the block with out sitting and resting. Now he has no problem walking a mile with out sitting down. Watch this movie!! Take the advice in this movie. It will probably change your life!! Well made, fascinating documentary, do not miss it!!

Great Move - Information is eye-opening
leoncorazon-5825922 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is an excellent resource for those looking to see the wide range of positive impact that vitamins and minerals can have on human health. It shows that vitamins can effectively combat disease, and definitely NOT just maintain health.

Andrew Saul and many other leaders in traditional healthcare present evidence from their respective fields to show the amazing benefits of vitamins and how a deficiency of, and subsequent megadose of, certain vitamins can help cure certain diseases.

My favorite idea is the premise that sickness can be manifested and caused by a vitamin deficiency, and that by carefully analyzing our bodies and giving them nutrients, we can take ourselves back to better health. Megadosing is not about never getting sick, its about getting better much more quickly when you do get sick.

I Love This Movie!!
janegoldwater22 March 2017
...and I recommend it to all of my friends. Simple vitamin and natural remedies for almost ever ailment we as humans come up with.

The one thing I have enjoyed about recommending the movie is that they do not sell particular vitamins or supplements....they just recommend them. The first response when I tell friends about this movie is, "Oh, they are just trying to sell something." I can happily say that is not the case. They are just putting the news out that vitamins ARE VERY, VERY BENEFICIAL!!

I have increased my C and taken just a handful of vitamins for particular needs and have had such good results. I'm healthier, have more vitality and have a sense of well being that was lacking in the past.

This movie makes taking care of my health so much EASIER and less expensive that I could have imagined. I recommend this movie to everyone!!

Interesting film giving much information on vitamins
iansover22 March 2017
I saw this when it came out and was impressed by the clear information given. There's no hard sell, just a lot of useful detail on the subject. It's refreshing to see something like this that aims only to inform, leaving you to decide, and that it does very well.

The people involved clearly know their stuff. Worth watching.

Amazing information
nzacarias22 March 2017
Knowledge is power. Very informational. I recommend this movie to everyone I know, everyone should have the chance to listen to what is presented. Take it or leave it just like anything else in life but through experience I am a firm believer! This should be part of our basic education. Thankful this movie was made.

Complete and utter lack of scientific evidence
imhy5 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I love watching random documentaries to learn new things so I was open to this documentary but be EXTREMELY CAREFUL believing the allegations made in this documentary.

It claims you can heal yourself with large doses of vitamins but it has ZERO scientific evidence in the documentary to back it up. It claims large doses of vitamin C could cure alzheimer's disease but it wouldn't be hard to get 100 alzheimer's patients to take large doses of vitamin C and see what how many are cured. Something as simple as 100 alzheimer's patients took large doses of vitamin C for 30 days and 60 of them were cured would be some sort of measurement if this simple test was shown in the documentary. But in this entire documentary there is absolutely zero proof. Just useless accounts from people that say I took something and my symptoms disappeared. It is just utter jibberish self diagnosis. If this so called respected documentary maker was serious, it wouldn't have been hard to find some sort of evidence to back up these ridiculous claims.

The documentary also claims no one has ever overdosed or died from over consumption of vitamins but that is a complete and utter lie. One google search and it will give you a number of cases where people have died from over consumption of vitamins. Maybe not vitamin C because a doctor explained to me that this was a water soluble thing that excess vitamin C would just be filtered by my liver and discreet in urine but other vitamins can definitely kill you.

The documentary also claims these people that make these outrageous claims have nothing to gain from it. It's hilarious because they're clearly publishing books that claims number 1 best seller so they're clearly using this to make money. Even if they weren't getting monetary reward for making these claims, it is not the first person to make outrageous claims for attention, to be recognised, famous or to be followed and be listened to.

Sad thing is having a balanced diet and taking some sort of vitamins probably is a good thing but there complete lack of scientific evidence or evidence of any kind while making such outrageous claims does the complete opposite and makes people lose complete faith in what they are saying. The claims made in this documentary are dangerous and preys on old or sick people desperate for a solution which is horrible. Take what is said in this doco with a grain of salt cause it has absolutely nothing to back it up.

must see documentary
jholl082922 March 2017
This is an outstanding reflection from renowned medical authorities from around the U.S. and other countries. It is presented in a reporter interview format. Included are doctors, researchers, nutrition experts, and holistic practitioners discussing the importance of providing our bodies with the proper nutrition and supplements. Our world is continually assaulted by stresses of all types from our nutritionally deficient soils to chemical pollution in our drinking water and industrial way of life. The message is our bodies can heal themselves if we provide them with the necessary vitamins and other supplements and foods. This means we must look beyond what has been accepted as normal requirements for vitamins and minerals. Megadoses have helped thousands of people recover and thrive from previously crippling illnesses and conditions. This movie shares invaluable information to help correct these inadequacies in our education about how to truly heal and enhance the way our bodies function.

Warning: Spoilers
Life saving information for anyone dealing with a wide range of issues. From common cold, infections and viruses to diabetes, depression, addictions and cancer. All based on hard science and evidence which for God knows what($$) reason is not mainstream yet. I also recommend Andrew Saul's the vitamin cure which expands on what's shown in the documentary

Grateful for People Who Care
greg-2781022 March 2017
I am grateful for people who care enough to put together such a helpful review of the benefits of good nutrition including supplementation. Supplements and good diet are more cost effective than American "health care" system and give better quality of life in many cases. Sometimes surgery and drugs are necessary, but why would you start there?

Great info -- highly recommended
rayhorvath22 March 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and learned a lot -- even more than I knew from my last 3 years of learning about natural healing.

Through the use of vitamins and other natural supplements I am rebuilding myself after a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer that spread to my lung.

The tumor shrunk and the spots on my lung have remained stable. Beyond that, I feel better and stronger every day compared to feeling weaker and sicker when I was on chemo (I quite after 4 of the planned 12 treatments.) In addition to that, the fistula created by the tumor has 'apparently healed' much to the dismay of the oncologist who believes that only chemo can cure cancer.

To sum it up, nothing heals but nutrition and proper supplementation. Don't buy cheap vitamins that may not be what they purport to be. Invest in your health and but good quality vitamins. And most of all, don't fall for the scaremongering of the medical profession but if you do follow their advice, you need nutrition and vitamins even more.

Warning: Spoilers
This may be a spoiler alert for some however the information presented in this documentary film is needed in this day an age of sick care. Want to take charge of your health and learn about vitamins and the levels the body need was life changing for me. In particular the information about vitamin C, I am now taking vitamin C regularly and daily and my child is getting the dose in 1000mg multiplied by his age and he is thriving. This is a must see documentary movie. It may trigger you and that is OK, just remember if you are triggered look at your belief system and see if it is serving you. You wont regret watching this must see information.

Excellent movie
ssc-9921022 March 2017
This movie is terrific. The doctors who are in it are top-notch holistic doctors who are very well-known in holistic nutrition and most are also well-known outside of the realm of nutrition.

Supplements are very important along with nutrition because even with organic produce, the nutrients in our fruits and vegetables are way less nutritious than they were even 40 years ago. The quality of our soil has decreased so much that taking supplements is an absolute necessity, especially non-synthetic ones.

Complete load of garbage
david-pieper22 March 2017
This film is pseudo scientific nonsense of the most dangerous kind. There is no clinical evidence for any of the claims being made and it is positively insulting to anyone who has lost a family member to cancer, HIV or any serious disease. This quack should be locked up before he does any more damage to the lives of vulnerable stupid people who don't understand scientific method.

Take ownership of your own health!
katya-0418222 March 2017
I found this movie to be very informative and well-done. Of course, everyone is responsible for their own health. Every person can make their own decisions regarding their health care - best if they are informed decisions. This film offers alternatives to conventional medicine. What each person does with this information is up to them. Professionals who have researched and/or experienced alternative medicine and its benefits have the right to share their findings, and I am thankful to have had the privilege of having my eyes opened to other alternatives to health care, and the reminder that my health is ultimately in my hands.

Listen to doctors, not detractors
colleen-7643222 March 2017
Over a dozen medical doctors on screen relating how they have seen vitamins cure their patients. That's a "scam"? Hardly. Doctors curing patients is, at the least, interesting. VERY interesting. I have looked into this carefully and found that THAT VITAMIN MOVIE was produced with no sponsorship from any vitamin company. Zero industry funding. I like that, and I think most viewers will, also. Take a look at the roster of physicians interviewed, which includes Dr. David Brownstein; Psychiatrist Dr. Hyla Cass; Respected author Dr. Alan Gaby; Professor of Medicine Dr. John Hoffer; Intravenous vitamin C expert Dr. Ron Hunninghake; Professor of Medicine (and also Professor of Cardiology) Dr. Atsuo Yanagisawa; and Cardiologist and attorney Dr. Thomas Levy. For those critical of this film, I ask this: what part about doctors using high-dose nutrition to get better don't you like? This is an important film that will save lives. I recommend it.

Best thing you'll watch in your life!
ringplusfb22 March 2017
This movie should win all the nominations for best film, actor/actress/director/truth-teller - everything, because it improves your quality of life and may even save your life from your sad SAD diet that you follow.

Vitamin C? Who takes that?! Well....only Benjamin Franklin and the likes of Linus Pauling...who's that you ask and why should you listen to him?! Well, he ONLY has TWO Nobel prizes. But, don't take my word or this movie's word for it. See for yourself! Fact: if you don't have enough vitamin C, you get scurvy - no one can deny that. So, why don't you try it out and see what all the hoopla is about with vitamins.

I find it funny that everyone is so quick to dismiss vitamins as quackery or snake oil when they think it's OK to drink soft drinks and eat sugar along with processed junk foods laden with trans-fat. Since when is fast food or processed junk food even considered food? Is it just because you can put it in your mouth?? Wise up people...
