Master of fetish hits the stylish mark in forgotten project
lor_9 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
"Fetish De Luxe" is another major title I've had to add a decade later to IMDb's listings, and it's worth seeking out. Before Kendo became daring! Media's darling of fetish content, the talented Frenchman Christophe Mourthe put a lot of work into crafting this opus.

Shot in Paris, it features a small but talented European cast including the familiar Bobbi Eden, and a powerful young dominatrix Dominique La Mer taking various leading roles, ranging from an Alice in Wonderland turned meanie to a more traditional leather lady.

The various modes of BDSM lite, made familiar in so many popular fetish features by the likes of Tanya Hyde, are well-executed here without any of the "yuck" factor that comes in gonzo videos. A telling moment occurs when one of the actresses objects to the pain in one of her strung-up bondage scenes and they have to shut down production for a bit, cuing some understandable (but surprising to me) grumbling amongst her co-stars that she's no trouper. This bit of reality creeping into the nonsensical universe of domination/submission pain/pleasure we see on screen was a bracing and educational moment for me.

All the femmes are terrific, quite beautiful in their extreme makeup and costumes, with Euro superstar Rita Faltoyano the stand-out and both Eden and French performer Sarah Twain good in support.

MAJOR SPOILER:

I was fooled and pleasantly entertained by Mourthe's secret weapon: big-dicked French star Titof made up convincingly as a woman. His scene begins with a facial close-up but soon turns to whipping and abuse and had me going, until the big reveal when the horny heroines release his cock from bondage and the cat is out of the bag, literally. Mistress la Mer removes Titof's wig and it's a different type of kinky sex that follows.

Mourthe directed several major films way back when that impressed me, notably Katsumi in "Secrets of the KamaSutra" and Ovidie in "SexMe", and with this later daring! title deserves to be rediscovered.
