So funny

Warning: Spoilers
Just saw this at the E.C. Queer Film Festival and it has got to be one of the smartest, funniest things I've ever seen. If you're a horror fan , especially kind of campy comedy-horror - and super especially if you've seen 80's horror flicks like Night of the Comet - you have got to see this movie.

So like basically it starts with a bunch of loosely associated character who are all gay or queer in some way, and you get a brief introduction to each one's day. Then they all end up at a wild party and get trashed or high and end up either passing out or hooking up, basically spending the night.

Then they wake up in the trashy warehouse where they were partying, open the door, sunlight streams in, and BAM a horde of zombies streams in. A bunch of people die right away, but the main group escapes out the back and from there it's the funniest zombie movie I've ever seen.

What was awesome is I've never seen a movie that was at the same time coming from an unabashedly gay perspective but also genuinely delivering on thrills. My favorite characters were the super lesbian kennel owner and the lipstick lesbian socialite because (spoiler) their characters are at first so broadly drawn and by the end they are the most human and real feeling of the movie. When Puff says "I spent my whole life training dogs, and I am not ABOUT to die surrounded by whiny bitches!" and takes charge of the group at their lowest point, it was amazing.

I don't know why more movies like this can't get made. Usually gay indie movies are so badly written and acted but this was awesome. I hope the people who made it get an opportunity to legit get into movie making because if they did this with so little imagine what they can do with more!!!
