Fantastic episode
bellemom117 June 2019
This may well be one of the best 30 minutes of TV I've ever watched. Whip-smart writing and I don't think you could find two actors to deliver the lines any better! Amazing!

Ashes to Ashes
Hitchcoc27 May 2016
Not nearly as much intensity, but still a great concluding episode. After killing Babe (so to speak), Frankie and Grace have her ashes in an urn they found at a garage sale. As they return to the house, they find two presents awaiting them. Frankie's is a prepaid studio showing of her art work. Grace gets a vibrator that she injures her wrist using. Frankie made a painting called Hitler's Circumcision, a tasteless mess, which she thought had been purchased and collected by Kenny Loggins. It turns out that Sol made the whole thing up to cheer her up. The story, however, has become legion, and now she feels betrayed (Sol has done more betraying than Judas himself). The byplay among the family members, as Grace finds prepackaged gifts that Robert had accumulated for her (so he would have something for every occasion) so he wouldn't need to bother at any time, is quite priceless. This all leads to a wonderful conclusion, setting up the next season. This one was power packed. What a group of amazing people.

A must Watch!!
kraftilin12 May 2016
My husband and I absolutely love the show we can hardly wait for season 3. This is so great to see seniors with such love of life. Everything they do hits home for a lot of older people. It is great to watch and laugh at what goes on in life when you get older. We can't wait to watch what next Grace and Frankie get into. Both women have such vibrant personalities and the two of them are so perfect together. It is so true how opposites work well together. We love how Frankie lives from Flower Power days and Grace is up to date with living yet they work to bring out the most in each other. Their children make a lot of the show funny on how they put up with their aging parents. Also the husbands show how things can change when your not true to yourself. We really hope that this show last for many more seasons we try watching an episode a night to make it last. It is a must watch!!

Estelle Parsons is a Treasure

OK bears repeating Estelle Parsons is an absolute treasure. The party to end all parties wonderful reminder to value The good times and celebrate them as much and as often as we can because it all goes by so fast. It is not maudlin or morbid to celebrate life. Also a good reminder that sometimes you need to argue through the tough times to come out on the other side. Value each other love each other and find us points of connection but lift us up and have the ability to bind us together.

I like that they talk through it even when they don't like each other they still love each other and haven't we all been there if we're lucky in this life.

Loss of words
uballen31 March 2017
Season 1 & 2 was such a great concept and I really enjoyed the family dynamics, two thumbs up. Seems a new writer was added to season 3 and when they didn't know what to say they added the "f" word. These characters are too educated to use the "f" word repeatedly, it really takes away from the show being a real sitcom. I am very shocked that leading characters like Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin would allow the show to encourage the use of ignorant vocabulary. This is not stand up comedy and the over abuse of profanity is not needed. The word is used so many times it is completely obnoxious, actually it is sad. Quit reaching for something that was not needed - season 1 & 2 was a hit, why abuse the show with profanity and take it to a different level?
