A True Tale

My Life Over the Top is a glimpse into the life of someone on a different path. As humans we tend to get stuck in patterns. Our daily routines become a place of comfort. I feel (like many people) that it's important to look into the lives of others.

This film dives into the life of a man that has lived in a world very different than my own. It was full of trials and tribulations, ups and downs, and waves of fear and joy.

It's hard for me to relate to his story on many levels, but at the same time I feel it's beneficial to see how his life played out so I can continue to daily reevaluate my own.

Give it a shot and see what you think.

A Compelling Study in Kingpin Life

A very interesting dip into the world of a real life Kingpin. The history is amazing, the story demonstrates Virgil Fairley's determination to be one of the 'haves' in life, however misdirected. Obviously, Fairley had an amazing business sense and the guts to get to the top in the game of prostitution and drugs. The ups and downs are incredible. The story is very compelling. An interesting study of business success!

In terms of filmmaking - a low budget production. And a very decent use of production resources, a good thru line of story, a very good indie film. My only complaint: the sounds levels of the soundtrack buried, at times, the dialog. So I did struggle to literally hear some of the folks interviewed.

Overall, a very worthy watch.

Urban Folk Tale

This film has a human interest plot if you really watch it with a open mind narrow minded individuals won't understand the knowledge wisdom and understanding how to apply it to your everyday life but I have a lot of respect for the producers of this project and I give it a thumbs up. Don't hate congratulate. People change for the best over time.
