This is a very special episode of Mountain Monsters and quite unusual in the powerful emotional punch it delivers to the viewer. The AIMS team is in search of the Cherokee Devil, a Bigfoot like creature who has terrified the people of Appalachia for generations. Determined to free the mountain community from the shadow of this horror, the men surpass themselves in their united efforts and focus completely on capturing the abominable beast. While the pursuit of the prey is fascinating and intense, it is the brotherhood and comradeship of the team is the real story here. When the youngest of the group, the beloved Buck, comes under the influence of the Devil and encounters the spirit of a little Indian girl, it will bring tears to your eyes. The emotional and psychological torture Buck experiences are profoundly terrible and his fellow team member react with tears and anger, seeking retribution for what their dear friend has suffered at the hands of the monster. This goes beyond hunting for a dubious legend. This episode is about the triumph of friendship, brotherhood, and the ultimate victory of the human spirit. Special mention must be given to Buck, who displays his raw emotions and lays bare his innermost demons. It is one of the most powerful performances ever filmed and that he was not even nominated for an Emmy renders the awards meaningless. Do not miss this very special episode of Mountain Monsters.
