Ben Malloy is the CIA’s Chief of Station for The Baltics. Or at least he was until, in the film’s opening minutes, his wife Farrah, who was also in the intelligence business, is killed by an explosion. Six months later he’s unable to get over her death and his son Nick blames him for his mother’s death and won’t return his calls.
The final straw however comes when the agency calls him in for questioning, trying to frame her as a double agent and freezing him out. Happy 2018, dear readers! With a new year comes a new batch of home entertainment releases, even if we only have a relatively quiet week of titles to look forward to. Scream Factory is kicking off 2018 right with their Collector’s Edition of Hell Night, and Umberto Lenzi’s Seven Blood Stained Orchids is getting a brand new Blu as well. If you missed it last fall, The Houses October Built 2 comes home this week, and cult film fans should keep an eye out for Miss Zombie from Redemption Films, too.
Other January 2nd releases include Bigfoot Country, Dystopia, Anna, Death Island Paranormal Retribution, No Solicitors, and The Body Tree.

Bundled together with news that Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse) has now nabbed a role in the star-studded Alita: Battle Angel, it’s been revealed that Ivanna Sakhno has climbed aboard Pacific Rim 2, joining John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Cailee Spaeny and the recently-cast Adria Arjona for another helping of Jaeger on Kaiju action.
Expanding on those gigantic foundations laid by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham three years ago, little is known about the core plot of Pacific Rim 2. Rumors continue to swirl that the monstrous creature feature will be titled Maelstrom when it deploys for apocalypse-cancelling duty...
