First off, great episode that focuses on Shaw! I do love the fact that the show changes its focus from character to character (i.e with Fusco in Wingman, etc). As always, Root and Shaw are hilarious together and let's face it, they have a better romance that in 90% of other TV shows.
What is most intriguing for me about this episode was something that Shahi mentioned in an interview with IGN. She mentions that in the last "5 seconds... something pretty big happens that basically sets up everything to come in the rest of the episodes for the rest of the season". Obviously she is referring to getting on Samaritan's radar but, does this lead to the inevitable clash between team Machine vs team Samaritan? Next week's synopsis mentions: "Martine, armed with information from Samaritan, hunts a member of the team". Is this Shaw, or someone else (we all know how POI likes to pull these tricks...)?
Just some straggling thoughts about the episode: Yay for Bear! When is the Bear-centered episode coming in? Kind of a Fast and Furious throwback to how the crew dragged the safe out of the hotel. Ebola mentioned-- POI is awesome for actually paying attention and incorporating the NEWS! As far as I can tell, everything mentioned in the episode is actually true.
