Uninspired Stormy rom-com
lor_15 January 2019
Both Stormy Daniels (auteur) and star Asa Akira perform below par in "The Right Amount of Wrong", a forgettable Wicked release reflecting tired blood from all concerned.

It's about fixing up friends with blind dates, and all the usual complications, but nothing overly interesting occurs. Asa meets Michael Vegas at a restaurant when her own arranged date fails to show, and the rest is boredom, rather than a match made in heaven.

Vegas does a very poor job, just another of his overacted, annoying performances that is the antithesis of what a rom-cam leading man should be (apparently he objects to the charm of a Colin Firth or Hugh Grant, mainstream giants whose shoes he will never even polish). Akira and her lovely co-stars like lesbian couple Danica Dillon and Breanne Benson can't be faulted, but this lousy material fed them by Stormy can.

She has pegged the entire nonsense to Vegas having a pair of Guardian Angels played by "The Twins" - an unfunny, deadpan pair of NonSex guys who hang around the film in boring fashion for the duration, one a sort of devil and the other an angel. This nod to 1940s fantasy comedies plays flat as a pancake, not helped by Vegas at all.
