Death of a Policeman
Hitchcoc5 May 2019
Jack becomes deeply involved in the case of a policeman, killed and incinerated in a car. Everything leads to a nasty young guy whose father has just served four years in prison. But it is much more complicated than that. Several possible suspects appear. Of course, the death of a cop makes everyone more tense and heightens the need for a suspect. Nikki is attracted to a cop that's involve in the case.

An explosive opener.
Sleepin_Dragon8 April 2019
An explosive and dramatic start, sees a return to cage fighting for Jack, and the death of a Police Officer, which of course heightens the tension of the episode.

This is an excellent start to this two part episode. The story is big, dramatic and totally engrossing. It's well produced, fast paced, and extremely well acted, plenty of familiar faces, and some fine performances, James Alexandrou stands out in particular. James Farrar does perhaps steal the show as the cocky Dean.

One gripe I have with this episode is the amount of muffled dialogue, there are parts I struggled to understand.

Very good indeed. 8/10

Forensics

Warning: Spoilers
Love this but when it comes to forensics, it becomes a little bit of a fantasy. Leap of Faith, body back tracked to forest, buried alive...then dead man walking.

Do the forensic/coroners team actually work this closely with Police? Unfortunately with what we know now, coroners office would not spend all this time and expense proving where a hair sample came from, (a person who swam a lot), 1 hair holds the chemicals to be broken down into its contents. On plus side, it's still going, Nicki is notable. As is the head pathologist. The fight club might go on and on. Bring back Harry Cunningham. Best man. Trevor Eve. Old cast was best cast. Names, Frankie, Grace and crew.
