The singing part stole the episode...amazing work.

The episode itself is a quite good one. A little action here, a little drama there, but still what steals the episode, is the singing part. I wanted to write scene, but it is not just one scene, it is something more complex. I don't know how, but they literally found the best song for this. Amanita is even saying at some point, that "this is the perfect soundtrack for lobotomy", and actually, she is right. But it isn't just for them, the song matches for all of the characters. For their situation, their mood, even their personality. But it isn't just the song itself, because the creators connected every line, every word to the right person in the right time. Through the song, we can experience more, and we can feel more from the story. And don't forget the fact, that this is the very first time, when they are all connected, and it is amazing.

"If we are to change our world view, images have to change"

All is changed with Sense8.

I'm not sure how to make a proper review, one that might inspire new people to watch this show. I will say that it is mind-bending. It will be crushingly sad at some moments, and intensively uplifting at others. This episode (and I have watched only the first four for now) is a perfect example of that. I am not mentioning anything specific here, but you will see.

The connections these characters make are ones that you want to feel yourself. So do it. Watch this show, and enjoy this episode. Be a part of this version of "everything is connected". Be the 9th part.

I bet you guys sang in the "what's going on" part right :P

OK before episode 4, I haven't decided yet if I love this show or not. I thought it was OK but i was not sure if its gonna be epic for me.

I say the last scene of this episode change my mind. That's golden there :P. Yea the singing part stole my heart, "and I say what's going on!!"

There is the scene where these 8 people suddenly singing what's going on from 4 Non Blondes. O my god, watching these 8 people sang beautiful song with the original song in play, that's powerful scene. You know these 8 people have mental connection to each other somehow. That premise maybe bit ridiculous, but hey when they sang their heart out, I bet most of the audiences even felt the connection and sang while these 8 people sang "what's going on", because I did hahaha. PS: Wolfgang and Kala are so cute when they sang together :).

I love this show and I have high expectation from this show because of that scene and the fact, that it was made by the Wachowski brothers. I was Matrix fanboy. So yeah this is my fave episode so far. Just watch it, you will sing it too.

Amazingly awesome yet flawed episode

Warning: Spoilers
This episode really brings the show together. I think if people can make it through episode 4, they will start to fall in love with the characters and want to know what happens next, especially now that we are starting to get some answers and the cluster's connections are getting deeper. If after this episode you still don't care about what's going on (pun intended) or are too squeamish with sexual stuff then it is sadly probably time to stop watching this beautiful work of art, which depicts a lovely alternate version of humanity.

My biggest issue with this episode was the picking of the handcuffs with an IV catheter. Maybe not a big deal to most, but for me it was beyond the level at which I could suspend my disbelief. Absurd.

Also, what is the deal with the sex scene that the girls visit? One second Wolfgang is at the bar, the next he is having sex, and then immediately he is back at bar. Did he sneak away downstairs with one of the girls or something? It was a poorly cut scene.

It's starting to fall into place

Warning: Spoilers
The Wachowskis have delivered some of the most insane, mind- blowing concepts in cinema, often too ambitious than can be fitted into two hours. So them directing a series would seem perfect. However, oddly enough Sense8 has been moving pretty slowly. Part of the problem is in an attempt to cover 8 characters in each episode, meaning each individual storyline is simplistic and half-baked. In this case, that includes the embezzlement which frankly isn't interesting.

Although "What's Going On?" still suffers from this problem it advances the plot further than all the previous episodes put together with Nomi's genius breakout scene, which is slickly done. The Wachowskis are amazing at this sort of stuff, which is obvious here.

I also liked the singalong. Really emotional and well done, showing a connection between all these characters from different parts of the world.

I'd give this a 7.5/10.
