Feel sorry for those women
pantonepeach4 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ok first of all they emphasize on how difficult it is to enter beauty contests.. If you think the requirements they have, yes it is difficult, but it s not like it requires mental effort.. Good genes mainly. I felt sorry for the girls/women, especially with the creepy guy who would be a 'sponsor'..This was similar to human trafficking, the woman was exploited.. So if you think about the abuse/dark side of this, yes it is difficult facing these. If someone wants to have plastic surgery or enter beauty contest if they want to, why no..But they present it like it is something important. It is like 10 minutes of fame, then what?

I made an account just to warn people (I guess spoilers?)

Warning: Spoilers
As a frequent viewer of documentaries, this was recommended for me on Netflix. I was actually warming up to the slow pace, despite the first shot of the movie being a continuous shot with no music and absolutely no context.

But then once the documentary explores body image and plastic surgery, WITHOUT WARNING they show a breast surgery. No music. No cues. Just a surgeon talking about young girls getting breast surgery and then a woman on a table for about five seconds, then BAM a nipple being cut open, then BAM doctors prying open her breast.

I love horror and gore, and I'm not even especially squeamish, but I had to turn this off.

It's a shame because I was actually beginning to really like this, the subtitles were not an issue, and the topics explored were really interesting.
