Such a dark, funny start.

Andy's life is changed beyond belief when he's forced to bond with his nephew.

It's so refreshing to watch something from The BBC which is so incredibly rude, full of bad language, and actually very funny.

That dream sequence was hilarious, so surreal with the costumes and have naked dancers.

This is going to be a series worth watching, there was a real sense of depth to it, the complex relationship between Andy and Errol.

A very good start, 8/10.

Mind the Cracks

Andy is fat, uncouth, irresponsible, a failed musician, a slacker and on the verge of electrocuting himself (by trying to drop a battery operated radio in the bath) after his girlfriend has dumped him for leaking their sex tape.

His sister Sam rings and asks him to collect his nephew Errol from school and take him to football practice. Andy knows nothing about Errol or his various allergies and ailments and he ends up taking him to a strip club where his ex girlfriend works in order to win her back by passing Errol off as his son.

Andy and Errol come to appreciate that both are misfits and a little over the top. Andy is a despicable role model for kids. He abuses Errol at the football field along with the crowd, runs away from the scene of an accident he caused, shows him a dirty mag, lies, cheats among other things. Although Andy does give a very apt description of love and later saves Errol from being run over by a truck.

Uncle even inserts a dream sequence with a song and dance segment. The first episode was dark, rude and sporadically funny.
