Let's make peace
tenshi_ippikiookami31 January 2016
The action is divided between the Ark and Earth in this action packed episode, filled with interesting plot developments and the typical stupidity that humans use to show on sci-fi shows.

Finn, a character that was a little bland at the beginning but is getting, as everyone else more fleshed out with more episodes, sees Octavia leaving the camp and follows her, discovering her relationship with Lincoln. Finn, the only one with Octavia who seems to see that killing each other doesn't help the 100 or the Grounders, decides to set a meeting between the Grounders and Clarke. On the Ark, Diana shows her hand and decides to leave all the other behind and with her team of supporters go to Earth.

This episode tries to show how people, who come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives, will have a hard time to reach an agreement. The Grounders and the 100 see things very differently, and also Diana's faction and everyone else on the Ark. Luckily for us, the show, even if it does so in a little bit heavy- handed way, tries to offer both views. And the actors, more comfortable with their roles, do a good job with the material. One of the nicest points of "The 100" is how the two bad guys from the first episodes (Bellamy and Councillor Kane) have become more sympathetic to the viewer, showing their backgrounds and their weaknesses. Here the show keeps working on the characters personalities and relationships, offering lots of grey zones.

And of course, we also have some threatening looks between Raven and Clark, etc etc...

Some storyline are collapsing, stories collide together. And start setting up for the finale. Also this episode shows that how people got different perspective and start arguing about community's decision. It is really hard to pleased everyone.

she couldn't trust Finn on matter of peace

Warning: Spoilers
Just my opinion, the series had a definite arc. First season, to me was good, it rose in quality for a while, then it went into decline, then it went into a death spiral. I know it's my opinion, people will disagree.

The Grounders use horns to alert others to the approach of the acid fog. So they don't get caught unaware. Finn was starting to piece together the horn with the acid fog, that after it was sounded the other grounders fled for cover, but there was no acid fog. This grounder (now known as Lincoln) who then stabbed him, sounded the horn so the grounders would flee instead of finishing the group containing Octavia's brother, because he understood the words she said to him.

Space stations are designed to remain in orbit. Entering an atmosphere, remaining intact, not burning to ashes, is a mix of speeds, trajectories, and temperature tolerances. Even capsules meant to survive entry into an atmosphere have to do so with some measure of control. So, "can't they just send that POS to the ground?" The answer is yes, they can, but so much of it would be incinerated in the process, and not being designed to ever enter atmosphere, there are many calculations that would be needed just to determine which areas are likely to not burn up. But then you have the factor of dropping 93,000 miles and suddenly stopping when you hit the ground or water, with no real means of braking. The problem here is Finn is being extremely naïve these people(with a few exceptions) really do see nothing but violence it's their answer to just about everything and I'm not exactly a war hungry person but I believe very strongly that violence is very necessary and to seek peace from people who attacked children for merely getting near a mountain(and killed many other times after) is one of those times

These people claim that the 100 "started a war that you don't know how to end" but that is completely false I completely support Clarke and Bellamy bringing the guns because to not do so would be foolish though I do think that this meeting needed to happen

Also find it funny a man who is cheating on his girlfriend is trying to take the moral high ground(despite my harsh words I do like Finn i just find him to he hypocritical and too naïve)

I believe this episode shows why Clarke is the best leader of the 100 and the show overall she doesn't buy into either extreme she tries the peaceful route but also knows that wholly committing to one isn't realistic or safe Finn is the naïve one speaking about peace Bellamy is the stubborn man who wants to kill them but Clarke would prefer peace but she certainly won't hesitate to fight a war if she knows her people are in danger.

Plot Analysis of a Great Episode
galet0916 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this particular episode. It was interesting when Clarke met the leader of the grounders who's a woman no less.

Unfortunately trigger happy Jasper made a really bad move, when he panicked and fired at the grounders in the trees.

This episode has lots going on. Both on the ark with the Rebel faction being responsible for planting a bomb and killing some innocent people up there, and for stealing the Exodus to escape to earth.

Then on the ground as I mentioned there's the meeting between the grounders and Clarke and her band of protectors. Well that didn't go as planned. Yet I can't help but wonder what the grounders in the trees would have done if Jasper hadn't fired first. Would they have attacked any of them or Clarke?

Back on the Ark Abby got attacked when she was inside the Exodus so it looks like she is coming to earth as well. But the rest who remained behind on the ark from what was mentioned supposedly they are all going to die unless they find a way to get the systems going again. Man there are so many plots in this episode including all the relationship plots.

Octavia obviously has it bad for the grounder, Miller, played by Jarod Joseph. As an actor playing his character, he shows a lot of charisma and is pretty darn gorgeous too, but seems to be a decent actor as well.

Then there's Clarke. I feel that she and Bellamy will be a couple. She seems more and more to be influenced by him. It was bad judgement for her that she went behind Finn's back and had Bellamy follow her and her group, who then brings along Jasper who brings along Raven of all people.

She also broke her agreement with Finn that no guns would be brought. Yet I have to ask myself what would have happened regarding those grounders in the trees, if they hadn't brought protection? Would our heroes have been murdered if the enemy did fire?

Regardless of that, I think Clarke and Bellamy are going to become romantically involved and I find that interesting. Finn is not the right guy for Clarke, after all he's still in love with Raven. But time will tell.

Regarding the grounders I just can't help but feel that war is inevitable now. What with the rebels who's ship crashed btw, (what happened there?) I can't see how peace could be achieved between the two groups, the grounders and the 100 plus anytime soon that is.

The way the episodes are going, I mean every one of them has me on the edge of my seat at some point and this one was no different. I look forward to the next episode. Well done!

I hate Finn
pariisaap10 September 2021
Well now I watched the whole episodes and I remember how I hated Finn. He was really annoying. I didn't like Clarke either . Those two made me sick because of cheating Raven. I still don't know how a person like Finn should be a hero!

After all characters changed during the different seasons but somethings weren't change:

I liked Raven all the times she was one of my favorite character.

Octavia and Bellamy did something annoying but they were both lovely.

Clarke was never my favorite character and sometimes she was really unbearable.
