One Case was fast and the other just slided a little

I always enjoy Mentalist episodes and look forward to Jane's new tricks and insights into life. There are two parallel cases in this episode, one is regarding the female trafficking case continued from last episode and the next one is Il Tavolo Bianco. The main case is one with a mobster and a murder.

Initially I thought the mobster case is not properly introduces. Even the reason why they have to solve the case at all is unclear to me. Then there is a twist where Jane is subpoenaed to appear in a court. It is OK, but why that angle again not clear. But definitely Mentalist is fresh and innovative in its approach and they continue to surprise me. I congratulate the team on constantly bringing a totally fresh feel to a very familiar model and "keeping us at home while showing us the world". Over all it is a nice episode with surprises and tricks here and there. Nice to watch.

The setup: While Patrick is part of a sting to catch a mobster suspected of jury tampering to avoid a murder charge, agent Cho finds a new clue that could take the sex trafficking investigation in a new direction.

The verdict: Passable fun. The content isn't for everyone. It is difficult to watch and has no shortage of abuse. There are slow spots, but to me the episode is too good to dismiss based on them. All the characters struggle against a system that has perpetuated falsehoods. The cinematography is stark and bare, with only the soundtrack adding some effect.

Organs Trafficking

Patrick Jane goes to the grand jury for the murder of Red John; however, it is part of a plan with the FBI to catch who is receiving bribe to avoid the prison of a powerful gangster. Meanwhile, Cho and the FBI agents find that the human traffickers also select organs to be harvested from the abducted women for wealthy people.

"Il Tavolo Bianco" is the good conclusion of the previous episode. The ring of traffickers is captured and the dirty Prosecuting Attorney is arrested. My vote is eight.
