Ed, Edd n Eddy if it was a try-hard, poorly drawn teen drama. The characters don't act like themselves at all. It's like their lines were written by an AI or like the writer never actually watched Ed, Edd n Eddy, but just read a description of the show. The voice acting is...well, they gave it their best shot. I get it. Not every body can sound like the original cast.
It has absolutely NONE of the humor, charm, wit or passion of the source material. And that creepy dream sequence at the end of episode 1 (3?) had nothing to do with EEnE at all. The writer(s) just used EEnE characters to make some weird, amateur, art house film that tries to look "deep" and philosophical. This screams middle school fanfic. Danny would never approve of this.
