The Mother of All Bombs
claudio_carvalho4 January 2015
Joe and Norrie find many butterflies covering part of the dome. The military bring family and friends from outside the dome to visit people in Chester Mill in a The Visitor's Day and Barbie finds it strange. Norrie learns that her father is alive. Big Jim Angie locked in the shelter but he does not release her; when he leaves the place, Reverend Lester visits him and tells that he is receiving the word MOAB from God. Then he preaches for the population and orders Big Jim to confess his sins. Barbie learns that the military intends to bomb the dome, and the Visitor's Day is not to say hello to the families but farewell. Now they intend to bring the residents to the Sanders' cement factory. Big Jim releases Angie and he tells her that they all are all going to die on that day. However the powerful bomb does not affect the dome.

"Blue on Blue" is an episode that shows how powerful the dome is. Big Jim is a dangerous man and Reverend Lester discovers it in the worst way. The rest is nothing but another chapter of a soap opera. My vote is seven.

This episode was good. I liked the idea of the military bringing in the families to say goodbye before they drop a bomb on the dome, but not informing the people inside the dome of what they were planning to do. I found it a little odd that Big jim didn't release Angie or call someone right away, since not doing so makes him just as guilty of kidnapping as Junior. I don't like the idea that for some strange reason Linda was never informed of Junior's mental issues before she made him a cop. It was also annoying how Jim let angie go but then did nothing when Junior took off after her. I understand Jim is not a good person but one minute he's telling Junior that he was stupid for locking Angie up but then the next minute after Junior went after angie, Jim tells Linda that Junior's tying up loose ends? And then he kills lester? Jim's character is inconsistent. It was interesting to find out barbie was not the war hero we initially thought. This episode had some decent writing.

I really got scared for Rusty when he brought his electronic tablet PC by the dome, i thought it would blow him up because it runs on battery. I now think it only plays that effect from the inside. Anyways i really love this show and cant wait for the next episode. I have the book but have not gotten the chance to read it but Stephen King really is great with continuing adventure stories like this one. He should stick with making stories like this. I read Bag of Bones, wasn't a fan but i loved the TV series they made from it. I honestly didn't think they could even do a TV series out of that book but they did and it worked. However Under the Dome is a lot better for a TV series. Tune in, Mondays on CBS 10:00 pm

So a town is isolated by a dome from an unknown source. Although the attempt to keep the element of mystery alive, I can't see this going into a Season 2. The story line reminds me of The TV series "Jericho" (isolation), but without a binding emotional connection like Jericho did. There's an obvious underlying tone of a town secret that has yet to be unveiled. I guess the disturbing storyline involves a young man and the girl that he "loves" and tries to protect. Oh, which reminds me, in the first episode there was such an unnecessary scene of the young couple having sex that was very obvious and left nothing to the imagination that had absolutely no bearing in their storyline. The show almost lost me at that point, but I held out hoping it would get better. So far.... Still disappointed. Sorry, but if this show doesn't get up & going soon, I won't be watching to the end.
