Jenny Daly’s entertainment production company has struck deals with ITV Studios France and Belgium’s Be-Entertainment as part of a new global growth strategy. It expects to sign a tranche more deals soon.
A first-look production deal has been struck with ITV Studios France, which is run by formats business veteran Thierry Lachkar, and a first-look distribution agreement is in place with Be-Entertainment for formats landing on Dpg Media Channels. Be-Entertainment sells the format behind upcoming NBC reality series Destination X to the international market.
Critical will look to use ITV Studios France and Be-Entertainment’s local relationship to forge new formats. Critical’s past credits include Catfish, Celebrity Game Face and Reese Witherspoon’s Get Organized with the Home Edit.

Nathalie Garcia is leaving Fremantle Spain to join ITV Studios as the managing director of their newly announced ITV Studios Iberia. The new entity will open next month in Madrid and will be the exclusive home of the studio’s formats in Spain, including “The Voice” (La Voz), “The Voice Kids” (La Voz Kids) and “The Chase” (El Cazador).
The top executive leaves the British multinational after nine years as the CEO of Fremantle Spain. During her tenure, Garcia oversaw the production of formats such as “Got Talent España,” “The Masked Singer,” “Password,” “The Farm” and others. On the original front, Garcia helmed IPs such as “Game of Talents” (Adivina Qué Hago Esta Noche), which went on to air on Fox in the U.S., and Netflix reality show “Love Never Lies.”

Thirteen-year-old singer Courtney Hadwin, whose “America’s Got Talent” audition last week went insanely viral, is fans’ favorite Golden Buzzer act so far of 2018. This soft-spoken teenager performed Otis Redding‘s “Hard to Handle” and wowed “Agt” judge Howie Mandel so much that he pressed his Golden Buzzer. Based on the results of our recent poll, Hadwin is the Golden Buzzer act fans most want to win Season 13. She earned 59% of the vote, followed by Tyra Banks‘s pick Zurcaroh at 22% and Simon Cowell‘s choice Michael Ketterer at 19%.
