I came to know that the film was released only because director called the father of a person who was reviewing the money, there was no promotion at all, there were only 100 people in the theatre, on the fourth day of the film's release. There was no expectation and the same was the case with a 30-40 minutes in the first half of the film, and then it felt a little better, by the time the interval. Then the second half had no words , the making that looked like a Hollywood movie, the scenes, the film that was watched without any expectations and at the end of the day i got to see people standing up and clapping their hands, in a word it was a great film.

Uninteresting! Forced! Stretched! It's hard to survive this "Survival Drama" in the theater.

Survival drama is not an often explored genre in Malayalam Movie Industry. The most intriguing aspect of such a genre lies in unpredictablity of an unknown canvas, character depth, the perils of survival and character arcs. However all these falls short for Raastha.
Marketed through the trailer as an intriguing survival drama, the movie spends much of its initial runtime with unwanted situations and plotlines that does not take the story anywhere. Finally when the plot starts getting semblance of a survival drama it fails to intrigue the viewer in any way possible. The emotions don't connect, there is no tension in the plot events, the making is subpar and the score doesn't help the situation in any way. Barring some veteran actors, the performance of main characters were below average. The director shows no merit of film making quality of a previous state award winner. Out of focus and noisy frames made the movie look worse than some amateur short films.
The high number of 10/10 reviews this movie is getting is dubious and is probably part of Marketing.

Pathetic to say the least

Absolute waste of money. Don't waste your money. Credits of the movie was literally the best part. The director has also threatened one of the honest movie reviewers with death threats and worse which is available to see on YouTube now. Aneesh Anwar should spare public of such a waste of time and money. He has done absolutely zero research and has just shot the movie using a camera and crew without any thought involved. Lot of scenes where even common sense was lacking. Guess common sense is not so common after all especially when it comes to this director. In short, spend your money somewhere else.
