The Good Wife Runnin' with the Devil
dalydj-918-25517511 March 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Another Good Wife episode another guest starring role by a respected Broadway actor. This week sees famed musical theatre actress Audra McDonald come onto the show as Alicia's nemeses from school. Audra was good in her scenes and the two women versus each other in court was nice especially with Tony winner Bebe Neuwrith as the judge. The other part of the episode was Kalinda meeting the second investigator brought into the firm and they had some nice play off each other as Kalinda was the more closed off while Robyn (Jess Weixler) seemed more comedic in her character especially up against the more reserved Kalinda. The women in both plots really owned the episode with the occasional good moment from Wallace Shawn playing the suspecting threatener Charles Lester who seemed to the case to Alicias shock. I really did like Audra as I always have in every thing she does. The firm is also doing well which means they have money to spar and it''s funny to see how fast they got out of that situation compared to the start of the season where they really struggled with the money situation. Another strong episode from the show is getting to repetitive now.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Archie Panjabi)

Warning: Spoilers
Audra McDonald sheds her marvelous singing voice as the 4 time Broadway Tony Award winner appears in this episode as a prosecuting attorney. She really puts it on in doing an admirable acting job here.

Kalinda is afraid that the new investigator, supposedly hired as the firm has now so much work, will take her job away from her. The new one shows that she is up to the task so far.

Alicia sees that the off-the-wall male attorney who she is working with is menacing despite his appearance and demeanor.

Bebe Neuwirth returns as the judge and has her moments, especially in chamber when McDonald announces that she is being intimidated by the guy she is prosecuting.

Diane shows her conservative side by being fearful of expanding, while Will shows that he is the liberal here.

What's Cary Agos up to? No wonder he always has that sneer on his face.
