Gang's War
claudio_carvalho16 January 2022
LaRoche summons Rigsby to explain the use of lethal force in his recent case involving his father Steve Rigsby. He discloses the case of the murder of Andy Hulf, where the agents find that another person was wounded and they find Steve seriously wounded in a shack. He is sent to a hospital and flees from the bed. Meanwhile the team investigates two gangs that might be related to the crime. Meanwhile, Van Pelt meets the pacific owner of a gym academy Fletcher Moss who runs a neutral place and Patrick Jane plots a plan to find who wants the gang's war.

"Blood Feud" is a reasonable episode of "The Mentalist". Patrick Jane, as usual, finds the person responsible to promote a gang's war in a meeting with the leaders of the two gangs in the gym owned by Fletcher Moss. My vote is seven.

Double Standards

Rigsby (and company) lost points with me here. My disgust for the team, especially Rigsby and Lisbon, aren't offset by even the tender image of father holding infant. Agent La Roche had the best line at the end, something about perfectly legal vengeance. Five points, because Lisbon's characterization took a deep dive, but then I've been losing respect for her leadership abilities for a while. The acting is superb as usual. But this episode left me feeling like, "Who's watching the watchman?" (Another good line, early in the episode.)
