Warning: Spoilers
This is another of the worst episodes of the show, this is just another one of those bad somethings I just got to get off my chest.

I think the sad thing about this episode was that it was another of those opportunities lost as this was an episode that was supposed to be focused on L. J. which would have been cool as he's a solid edition to the Defenders and a chip off the old block. Instead of seeing him at his best like these character stand-alone episodes should do, we should of we just see the absolute worst.

L. J. In this episode is completely out of character as he's just a complete blowhole from the beginning to the middle for no damn reason whatsoever much like that teenager character Amy from the film "Uncle Buck" which makes it worse since I hate that character. He's pretty much being the angry teenager stereotype which I never like because not just are they annoying but their one-dimensional characters that contribute nothing to the story; with characters like that all I can say is the old saying, "You can't stand the heat you better stay out of the kitchen." I know this is supposed to be a coming-of-age story mainly a story about the teen learning and taking responsibility to be an adult, but there are better ways to do it and better stories as well this isn't one of them.

Not much I can say as we L. J. is purposefully blows it on the training simulation because he chose to be lazy but also doesn't take it seriously as he refers it as a game. It's so stupid, what was the point of you being in the simulation if that's how you're going to act; much like taking someone to let's say a "Paintball" match only for that person to just be an open target on purpose because he doesn't want to be there anymore.

To me training simulations in any protection organization, let along training in self-defense/martial arts or flight simulations I always take seriously and never refer to it as a game. Because the point of simulations is to help prepare you for what's to come when it stops being a game and becomes real.

L. J. We see has become arrogant and things that he's automatically an adult but he's being the complete opposite as he's acting childish. But worse than that he's let himself become irresponsible and stupid. There is one scene which is probably one of the worst moments ever when both Jetta and a guest are being captured right in front of L. J.'s eyes and she's asking for L. J.'s help.

But L. J. stands there like a lazy moron and just watches the crime in progress as he mistakenly thinks it's a simulation that Jetta put on. It's funny what L. J. said earlier about thinking, which is something he hasn't been doing, in fact not very well. Even a rookie couldn't make his mistake as it was clearly not a simulation as there was no one manning the control booth and there was nothing going on as you still saw the bare walls and whole space of the place. And even if it was a simulation what would the point be?

After that moment, personally if I was leader of the Defenders I would have suspended or fired L. J. for this because this incompetence is unacceptable. I wish there was a scene where all four fathers of the Defenders were mad at L. J. and Flash relieves L. J. of his Defenders badge and suspended him. I know seems really harsh but necessary and a hard lesson for L. J. to know he should have taken his role seriously. To me L. J.'s inaction proved two things that he really doesn't have what it takes to be a Defender and doesn't want to be a Defender, at least not as bad as he thinks.

Granted he did help and succeed in the rescue mission but that to me didn't make up for his incompetence on duty which is damning. Also wish at that moment Jetta meets up with L. J. again that she decked him, it doesn't make sense why she not angry with him. And also granted he does learn his lesson and as punishment he buys everyone's desert which is sort of a point but still not enough.

So, yeah once again this is another episode to just let pass by because you not really missing anything except your time.
