A 3 is a blessing!

I watched this film along with several other church made religious films, and for the majority they actually did pretty well; except 2-3 films and this was one of them.

During the movie I cringed at the mother's behavior to the daughter. Then at the end or seeing the "end consequences" or result, I can't find any religious basis for what the creators were intending to show here. Meaning I don't get the point they were trying to make, and where in any religion does it suggest what they are.

Religion aside, Karma, whatever you believe in, it just doesn't make sense.

The issue mainly stems from the mother Demetria never ever really growing as a person. You see her deny her child, then when the child is near death she starts to actually care, and then when the child passes away she is depressed about that. Then all of a sudden...they are blessed with raising another child. How on earth was this reward bestowed upon them due to the mother's lack of faith? It is completely baffling to me. Nowhere did I see the mother seem to be remorseful for the life she was living, or how she was hurting her family. Why would her husband have wanted to stay with her anyways is also questionable.

At the end of the day religious or not, church budget or not, the message was "show that you feel guilty for less than 5 minutes, and you will be rewarded", which is a horrible message to send to anyone, after you have treated your family miserably for years.
