I am shattered

Warning: Spoilers
First of all , I love this series because I really have become invested in the characters. The show unlike PD and Medical often interjects some moments of lightness and sweetness into the episodes . Even Trudy from PD makes some visits and it's nice to see her lighten up. I like those shows as well. I have grown to like all the characters and was glad when they got rid of the psychopath EMT as she was scary/ excellent actress . I hated Violet to have to go three that. Tonight's episode where we lost Evan in the fire was just heartbreaking. The actress., Hanako Greenberg, was so convincing in showing Violet's pain, I am seeing Emmy nod. I actually teared up. Stella does get on my last nerve.

"Completely Shattered"

Warning: Spoilers
Severide dips his toe back into investigative work in this episode, teaming up in a not especially harmonious environment with a hard-nosed Chicago PD detective. I've always liked the episodes where Severide has been working at or with OFI and the like, as it tends to allow him to show off the fact that he's more than just a standard firefighter. Of course, it adds another worthwhile element to the show as well.

But it is the last three or four minutes of this episode where the real drama happens. And there are plenty amongst the cast who deserve huge plaudits for their acting chops in those scenes, none more so than Hanako Greensmith. She wad brilliant in the closing minutes, and, reading through some earlier reviews, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so.

Give Hanako Greenberg an Oscar

Wow. I know a lot of people have said that Fire has not been as good in recent years, i would agree. However this season has started very strongly. And then this episode... fantastic. Even the previous 2 episodes, i am liking Carver's story. Then comes Completed Shattered. A very entertaining and devastating episode. The death of Hawkins was a shock to me, as well as the rest of the fans.

Why can't out beloved characters ever get to be happy? Violet deserves happiness. But Hanako Greenberg's acting was ridiculously good in that final scene. Her screams cut straight through me. Can't wait to see how this goes.

Chicago Fire

Warning: Spoilers
Favorite scene with

Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) - Goat Catching with Hermann.

Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) - Lunch with Violet and Evan and trying to be Set-Up by Evan.

Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) - Worried about Gallo and then Losing Evan in the Movie Theater Fire.

Chicago Fire is Back and it Rocked!!!

My Mom got me Hooked on this Show. I usually don't Review TV Shows. But the Chicago Series is now my Ultimate Favorite Series. Watching Last Season's Reruns got me through the Long, Hot Summer and Really Helped me through some things. Seriously?! You Killed off Evan?!!! No!!!

I Love Every Single Character.

Sack these writers...
hwephq13 February 2023
Used to have a lot of love for this show but ever since they brought in Stella KIDD's character. Something has been off. It seems that the writers have created a monster that everyone except them can see. Arrogant. Demanding. Sexist. Plays the gender card to get what she wants. And all the male characters are written to capitulate. It makes for a deeply unenjoyable viewing experience. Beyond that the other characters now get less and less screen time in favor of the Cringeshow horror fest that is Stella Kidd. If it were up to me - I'd write her out of the show and replace her with Otis' long lost twin brother. The Fire has well and truly gone out on this show.

Why?
tsuthers-0916813 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Why him? Would loved to have seen them get rid of kidd. Never liked her hated to see Kelly involved.

Evan seemed like a nice guy would have rather him "move" than be killed. Watch him and Violet work around the distance. Bret is okay but she goes through men as none of them drop everything for her the way she wants.

Kidd using the fact that she is female to get what she wants as she always has to have her way.... The 3rd Lt has never had an office since squad moved in, but she has to bully her way in and Kelly having his guys try to find a new place for the washer/dryer that the WHOLE house uses....

Have to really wonder about Carver. Never seen Boden push the way he has for him

Will see how this season plays out but tired of kidd being the main focus.

terrible storyline
mbull-2004327 October 2022
Used to like this show but will no longer watch it, storyline of Violet/Chief Hawkins too much for me, tired of everyone being miserable all the time/no one being able to be happy for five stupid minutes, Anna beat cancer but of course show writers/creators/producers had her get cancer again then die, good storylines killed off all the time this was final straw for me, cannot stomach Kidd she is overbearing and has to be right all the time, bring back nice arson investigator lady and nice guy who replaced Kidd when she was gone doing girls on fire, Chief was promoted but never does his new job why, Kelly should be a captain by now should have been long time ago but nevermind because I am never watching this show again.
