Cute Warning: Spoilers
I think that this was a cute animation series, which makes a nice combination of very good CGI and live-action, which actually looks better than most of the big-budget Hollywood production that try to do the same thing, almost always with awful results (Like for example, every single live-action adaptation of any cartoon from the recent years).

The titular main characters are simply adorable, with simple, but very appealing designs, as if all of them were creations from the Sanrio company. The plot from every episode involves doing some kind of innocent mischief, always with amusing (and cute) results.

"Canimals" is actually a pretty decent series, which shows that a mixture of digital animation and live-action can be done right. I just don't see why it is rated so low on IMDb.

Possibly one or the most underrated shows ever

Look, when it comes to shows, I love as much as the next guy. I'm a huge fan of Simpsons, regular show, Total drama, basically highly rated shows of that nature.... but even then, I always have considered canimals as not only an underrated classic, but probably (besides Red vs Blue and Happy Tree Friends) the most underrated show I have ever seen. Canimals is a show about several little cans that have gained lives as animals, such as cats, dogs, frogs, owls, etc. Each or the animals have their own name, personality, or something specifically that makes them unique from the rest. It's what makes the show so amazing, you can have a favourite character for a reason as most of the time, if theyre featured in an episode, they will always serve a purpose. Although, as much as I adore this show and it's characters, the only thing stopping it from being a 10/10 is that to be fair, the writing isn't exactly top tier. It's not because the canimals can't talk, but mostly because most plots may switch depending on the episode, or some episodes just end with a sad ending for no particular reason. With that said though, this rarely happens, and you'll probably find yourself still enjoying most of the episodes. If your into shows that give off the same energy as early Disney XD or something you'd see during the peak days of YouTube, you'll probably love this show as much as I do. However, if you care more about plot and character development, maybe this isn't the choice for you.
