Absolutely beautiful episode
ktmtcgq19 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, just, wow. I didn't think Primal would ever make me emotional in a positive way, every other time I've been emotional about the series it's about the loss and death. But here it's different.

Fang is a mom again and Spear is so happy and just wants to be a part of it all and help however he can. It's all just so beautiful and heartwarming.

I cannot recommend this episode enough.

Another amazing episode, heartwarming and touching
dmyhre-1428424 August 2022
This episode is filled with touching moments. It's frankly a beautiful episode that I cried happy tears for.

I do disagree with the notion that we aren't supposed to root for Spear and Fang anymore, it feels like people are deliberately ignoring the many scenes and the obvious emotions they are meant to instill. For example, why would we get emotional, happy music when good things happen to Spear and Fang in this episode if we aren't meant to root for them? We are obviously meant to root for the group and the vast majority of the audience still does, unlike what some users here like to say.

Season 2 is on fire
Near-L21 August 2022
Even the fillers are good (last episode and the joke punchline). And this episode was great, no holding back just straight into it. No hyping or teasing just moving the story along flawlessly. Beautifully done, raw emotions and no dialogue. Season 2 is such an improvement on season 1. Love how you can't really root for anyone. Everyone is just surviving the never ending cycle of violent consequences that world creates. So well done, thanks.

Wow,this was very well done

Warning: Spoilers
I never ever thought the writers would be able to surpass the storytelling and writing of season 1...this episode is proof enough to us that season 2 is a far better written season than the previous season. The big Viking and his son in this episode seek revenge. Spear, fang and mira have to fight for their very lives as they are attacked, hunted and ambushed by the Viking family. This is such an amazing episode and I really can't wait to see what happens next.

Heartwarming yet sad

Warning: Spoilers
Oh my goodness this episode, really good, amazing. The moment fang laid them children, ooh that was good. Kinda wish it stayed that way and DIDN'T show that flashback scene with the kids. When the son fell from the sky. God damn that really hurt, why?????? It's good show though.

Revenge is best served relentlessly
Shadowboy_25cm30 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is pure on emotions: anger and love. On both sides: Team Spear vs Team Vikings.

Of course, our sympathies lie within Team Spear with Fang and Mira as buddy and love interest for Spear.

But: This episode manages to feel the pain that the Viking leader and father and his son have as the only survivors of their village. And the loving care of the father for his son.

On the other side, we also feel the deep bonds between Spear, Fang and Mira.

This episode is full of action, fighting: over-the-top, relentless, bloody and dramatic.

At the end it's like a relieve to see our heroes united in harmony and love after such a breathtaking and perilous odysey.

The road so far. Highly recommeded.

The protagonists are going to make their new lives
seiyafuma3 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I believe that now Fang will no longer be in the following episodes or he will be given less prominence, since he will have to take care of his young, and a door opens for the third season to learn about Fang's young, and I believe and hope be wrong but I think Fang will die, since it is leaving offspring (It is possible that the eggs will not hatch).

For me, the deal that the Viking will have with the god will be that it will give him similar powers that when spear became a mutant against the monkeys, if you look at the trailer for season 2, a giant appears among the flames, that thing is a man now the doubt is that the god will ask him in return.

Season 2 going strong
kimxboxlive23 August 2022
Season 2 has had some amazing 10/10 episodes (most notably episode 2 & 4). This is not a 10, but still overall a strong episode.

It's interesting at this point how you are likely no longer actually rooting for spear & fang. Like a fellow reviewer said; we are now just witnessing the never ending cycle of violence. There are no "good guys" anymore, which makes for an interesting watch. Hopefully Genndy is aware of this shift in the relation between spear & fang and the audience.

What lower the score somewhat for me is how I am now more strongly starting to sense the plot-armor effect. These characters are going from brutal battle to brutal battle without many consequences. Either Genndy has to start killing his darlings, or the feeling of high stakes during battle will quickly wear off.

So no one's gonna talk about how Spear got the father killed?
thefoochie19 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What the title says. Fang's kids are going to grow up without a father, and yet Spear shows no remorse for getting their father killed. Spear smiling at the eggs made me physically ill. He's just gonna act like he's not the reason they don't have a dad? And fang just lets him near the eggs? Ugh, I hate when characters don't face consequences for their actions. What would have made this episode better is if we got a scene of Spear showing Fang that he's sorry. But wait, I forgot, character development doesn't exist in this show.

Anyway, let's talk about the episode. First off, I find it highly unlikely that Fang was able to recover from all those deep wounds. Also, Spear doesn't have any wounds at all! In the red mist, he got sliced and stabbed like 50 times! How is he okay?

The fight scene at the beginning was okay, I did find it a little unbelievable. I know the two Vikings are supposed to be super strong, but there's no way the female Viking was able to survive getting chomped on by a T-Rex.

I didn't really care for the Viking scenes. The flashback showing their dead kids was useless. These guys are slave owners, why are the writers trying to get me to sympathize with them? Why can't they just let the bad guys be... bad? Also them being able to ride vultures without getting kicked off wasn't believable.

Speaking of the vultures, how in the world was Mira able to land on Spear's vulture? That felt like something you'd see in a Mission impossible movie. Also, the male Viking surviving the fall was totally unbelievable. Surviving is one thing, but he can still walk too?!

Overall, this was mostly a bad episode. The only part I enjoyed was the fight at the beginning. I'm giving this a 4/10.
