More Sheldon being Sheldon in the sophomore episode...
Doctor_vanNostrand31 May 2012
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was a strong followup to the first half-hour of the hour-long premiere event. We open with Leonard preparing for a via-Skype dinner date with Priya, despite the significant time zone difference. Sheldon is not shy about the ridiculousness of that arrangement, but he courteously decides to hang out at Penny's apartment kicking off both stories of the episode. Sheldon is pleased with Penny's new chair until learning that it had been in the garbage. I still laugh hysterically when Penny shoves the chair cushion in Sheldon's face to get him to stop badgering her. And I was pleased to see some hints of the "old Howard", turning Leonard on to cybersex, also setting up another comic moment in the "ersatz homosexual marriage" between Howard and Raj and Leonard's efforts having hilariously disastrous results.

Fun episode with Sheldon being all obsessive about the chair. Him worrying with it being a health hazard was really funny. And it was especially great how surprising it ended with the chair. Amy and Penny running down the stairs yelling was absolutely hilarious. Leonard trying some ling distance sex with Priya was also fun to watch.

A Chair Is a Chair Is a Chair

Leonard is working on a long distance relationship with Priya but it just isn't the same. Sheldon decides to go to Penny's place and wait them out. She has a nice red chair that is very comfortable. Someone left it on the street and she took it. Sheldon, realizing this, goes bananas, assuming it is filled with bacteria and other things. Well done episode. Amy is really great here.

Sheldon is his usual self in "The Infestation Hypotheses" ep of "The Big Bang Theory"

Warning: Spoilers
In a nutshell about this season's "The Big Bang Theory" ep: Leonard tries a long-distance relationship with Priya on the internet. Yes, that includes sex. Sheldon, not wanting to intrude on them, stays at Penny's and likes her new chair...until he finds out she picked it from the street. She refuses when he demands it be thrown back out. So he tries to get Amy to appeal to her new "bestie" his point of view. Penny once again refuses...until she and Amy discover something crawling inside. Another hilarious ep of "TBBT" from this season. Sheldon, Penny, and Amy are especially on fire here. I really don't want to say anymore than that so on that note, "The Infestation Hypothesis" is an especially good ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

The Infestation Hypothesis

This is another good episode of 'The Big Bang Theory'.

I think the fifth series has started well, and since the fourth it really seems like it has nailed down what makes a successful episode and what the show wants to be its driving forces moving forward.

It helps that you have an actor as good as Jim Parsons involved, who can take a very simple premise and make it very funny indeed. I really like the Sheldon/Penny relationship as well, and it gets a fair outing here.

The Raj and Howard 'kissing' scene deserves special mention too, that was great fun. How Johnny Galeki kept a straight face I'll never know.

On the whole, good fun.
