Comic-Con did a little something different this year in Hall H and showed a collection of short films gathered from around the world. Out of all the films they ended up showing this was my favorite, and I can guarantee it's going to entertain the hell out of you!
The short is called The Centrifuge Brain Project. It was created by Till Nowak of Frambox Digital, and it gives us some insight on some insane scientific experiments with amusement park rides. Enjoy the show!

A surpisingly cool panel in Hall H at Comic-Con came from Ron Diamond (program curator and president of Acme Filmworks and Awn.com) in the form of The 14th Annual Animation Show of Shows, presenting the best and newest in international animation. Films like Disney's Paperman and others played, but one that really tickled our fancy was a live-action faux documentary called The Centrifuge Brain Project. The film follows the studies of pseudo-mad scientist Dr. Nick Laslowicz and his wild amusement park prototypes, brought to life by some impressive visual effects work. "Gravity is a mistake," says the doctor. Short film Yardbird was named Best Australian Short Film at Flickerfest. The film was directed by Good Oil’s Michael Spiccia, written by Julius Avery and produced by Jessica Mitchell.
The film had previously been accepted into the Cannes International Film Festival.
The award is Academy accredited which means the film may be entered for consideration to the Oscars.
Avery has written and will soon direct his first feature film Son of a Gun, starring Ewan McGregor.
Meanwhile, Mirrah Foulkes won Best Direction of an Australian Short for her film Dumpy Goes to the Big Smoke. It was produced by David Michod and Michael Cody.
