The acting is horrible, the CGI is worse, sets are almost non-existent and I have seen cosplayers with (much) better costumes. That said, I love this show!
I loved it when came out and I still love it enough to have remembered and rewatched it now. Of course, if you even heard of it, you have probably watched the Anime or read the Manga, which are both of higher quality. But I actually still love the live action version the best, cause even with all its flaws or maybe even because of that, it's just so charming and I think they did a wonderful job conveying the charm and emotions of it, on what is obviously a shoe-string budget.
Also, even though the Live Action version only has 12 episodes, that's actually twice as many as the Anime.
