  The Doctor : In a forest. In a box. In a sitting room. Pay attention! He's about 20 minutes ahead of us.

  Lily Arwell : But we just saw him!

  The Doctor : Time moves differently across the dimensional planes. What do they teach you in school these days?

  Lily Arwell : But I don't understand where we are!

  The Doctor : We went through a dimensional portal... thingy.

  Lily Arwell : Well what's that supposed to be? Where did it come from?

  The Doctor : It was a present and it wasn't supposed to be opened until Christmas Day. Honestly who opens their Christmas Presents early? OK... shut up... everyone.

• Lily Arwell : What's happening?

  The Doctor : No idea. Do what I do. Hold tight and pretend it's a plan.

• Madge Arwell : Are you the new caretaker?

  The Doctor : Usually called The Doctor, or the Caretaker, or get off this planet, although strictly speaking, that probably isn't a name.
