Wow, I thought the guys at Nickelodeon Nicktoons and TeenNick got the message that they needed to put more effort into their shows after they bombed with ChalkZone, Yakkity Yak, Shuriken School, Tak and The Power of Juju and The Mighty B but it looks like our comments hit deaf ears to them. This show may not be as bad as Scaredy Squirrel but come on, this is not a quality animated show. Brickleberry, Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures and Bolts and Blip are. Not to mention I cant stand the characters. Cat is just so annoying that he practically smears the shows quality. For the friend Dog, he is just an annoying Dog. Lola, her voice sounds like a kindergartener even though she's an adult. Eddie the Squirrel, he's so gross just thinking about him annoys me. anyone with half a brain can tell that when your incognito, your obviously a Squirrel. Rancid Rabbit is also unlikable as he feels detached at times along with the fact he overexaggerates like a spoiled brat. It feels like his voice actor is not trying at times. The Greasers are suppose to be a "cool gang" but all they want to do is beat up cat (like in the episode Extra Extra). Mr. Sunshine, the "emotionaless guy" is obviously an Droopy clone. The only difference is that Droopy is way better than him, not to mention that Mr. Sunshine has a swollen ego and head, so I don't know why Racid Rabbit admire him . The closest likable characters are Mervis and Dunglap. Just like Scaredy Squirrel, the sane characters does better than everyone else. There's the only one who has the GUTS to be CatDog's true friends. The plots are also stupid and so is the opening theme. TeenNick, your on a sinking ship. Take this show off and replace it something way better (Cardcaptors, Kirby: Right Back at Ya, Tenjho Tenge, Etc.). Or replace the writers with people who can actually write plots that are decent and funny.

I think it's safe to say not all shorts can be made into a TV show. Case in point, TCatDog, a show based on a short that aired before the Rugrats movie, it didn't need to have a show. The show barely follows the short and it doesn't seem to follow any sort of plot at all except that it's about Cat having bully problems. As weak as the premise sounds, it actually gets worse. The stories are just terrible rehashes of stories already seen on TV shows. School? Been there, done that. Whatever new attempts at ideas for episodes though are usually flat out boring and uninteresting. All the characters in this show are boring and terrible. Cat is uninteresting. The Orge is an arrogant jerk and is unlikable, he's even voiced by the guy who did Murphy in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc and his talents were wasted. The green monkey, Mr. Sunshine, is just snobbish and pathetic. There is virtually no humor at all in this show. Trying to find a funny moment in this show is like sending a blind person to a clover field and find a 4 leaf clover. This show is epic fail, from beginning to end and was doomed to ail. Most shorts turned to shows often fail and this is a prime example. Pass this show up and just play watch the short.
