Great Documentary About "Golden Age of Cinema"
rakosi3926 June 2011
Although I was very young when the cinemas were popular, I still remember a crowd when some popular American blockbuster was on big screen. After that come VHS tapes, after that DivX and Internet... and cinema died. This is movie about death of cinema in Croatia, specially in small towns. And this is story about one "movie-old-school-maniac" who goes about 100 miles with train to capital city of Croatia to watch movie in cinema. The documentary is very educative specially for young "divx-generation", about how the movies were watching in old days, and what kind of "movie freaks" cinema was produced (writer and director of documentary is one on the most important person in Croatia of "different movies" scene and great director of no-budget movies.) Ironically, I got copy of this movies on DVD, I didn't watch it in cinema (it was few projections in Pozega), and, if I didn't get DVD copy, probably I would watch it on some DivX copy. Unfortunately, cause in our town, Nova Gradiska, there is no cinema, just like in neighboring city Pozega.
