One of Edgar Allan Poe's favorite poets . . .
tadpole-596-91825616 January 2024
. . . as well as being the co-founder of both the New York Evening Mirror not to mention Town and Country magazine, Bullwinkle follows up his recitation of Poe's most famous poem, THE RAVEN, with George Pope Morris' best-remembered work, WOODMAN, SPARE THAT TREE. Naturally enough, it was Morris who first published THE RAVEN, making Poe a household name across our U. S. Homeland. Unfortunately, WOODMAN has not enjoyed the same longevity as THE RAVEN. Dr. Seuss pretty much stole any echoes of remaining thunder from WOODMAN with his 20th Century story, the L-o-r-a-x. As Shakespeare often remarked, poets live a hard knocks life.

A close examination of SNOW WHITE, INC. . . .
oscaralbert18 January 2024
. . . reveals that the infamous "grumpy old men" of animation rival Wilted Daisy Mega Corporation skimped and severely limited the scope of their pared down versions of World Heritage Fairy Tales. While the indolent Wilted Daisy doodlers insisted that there were just "seven" d-words collaborating with Snow White, the Rocky and Bullwinkle people researched the original source material and discovered that actually there were 34 of the diminutive dudes in the picture. Obviously, it's much easier for a lazy, lackadaisical cartoonist to scribble six or seven figures than to fill in the required field of nearly three dozen gnomes. SNOW WHITE, INC. Also provides more backstory for its supporting cast, noting that one of Snow White's companions has a wife and three children in Kansas City. The notoriously cheap Wilted Daisy outfit always tried to substitute distracting warbling for top-notch Bullwinkle-style animation in a crass effort to delude viewers about all of their cost-saving shortcuts.

Trucks in the Sky
Hitchcoc25 February 2021
Yes, I know it's never going to end. The upsidasium that was loaded into the trucks has taken them spaceward. Both our heroes and Boris and Natasha are attempting to harvest the trucks. But how? I'm not sure if this stuff is worth the cost. R & B find themselves in jail for a while but manage to head upward. The fairy tale is "Snow White, Inc." The evil queen and Snow White are business competitors. The Queen is adept at making poison fruit and Snow White runs an employment service for dwarfs. Just the idea is worth it. Peabody and Sherman go to England to see the guy who first swam the English Channel. As usual, these historical figures are grossly inept. Anyway, it's another sort of lame attempt at humor. At least these were designed to give a modicum of information to juvenile or not so juvenile viewers.

When you research mysterious deaths of the 1900's . . .
pixrox118 January 2024
. . . America's most-outspoken Rocky and Bullwinkle fans lead the list. Among these were U. S. President JFK and his U. S. Attorney General brother R. F. K. The latter sought to insure the safety of the nation's third biggest Dudley Do-Right proponent, Teamster's Union President James Hoffa, by placing him in protective custody within a high security federal facility. However, after the nefarious anti-Bullwinkle Elephantine Political Party liquidated the famous Kennedy brothers, Elephantine Oval Office occupant Noxious Mill House tricked Jimmy out of prison with a presidential pardon and quickly had him kidnapped, incinerated and ordered his ashes to be spread down the slopes of a moon crater. This Bullwinkle Episode, titled TRUCKERS IN THE SKY, foretells some of the sordid details of this pernicious plot. This hit was carried out by the same bunch that had whacked Rocky's fourth most famous fan, Norma Jean Baker, a few years earlier.
