Family tragedy

Warning: Spoilers
So, EZ is the hero of this series. He goes back and forth between being the guy with a heart to being an insane killer. He told somebody, a few seasons ago that his mother saw him for what he was and tried to save him from himself by exposing him to art. Angel asked his Pops , "What did you do to make God rain destruction down on us?", and maybe that's what the whole thing is about: Felipe having lost his own soul killing for the cartel, so his boys are all doomed; Miguel, EZ, and Angel.

This story is so much darker than it appears if you only see a few episodes. The Mayans all seem to have a fatal flaw in their characters, making them willing ti kill each other over trivial things at first and that makes them go to war with each other. Marcus seems to have set the club up this way when he stepped down and appointed three chapter presidents as a group called "3 Kings". They all three immediately started betraying each other and now it has come to be what we're seeing now: a war of all against all.

The unimaginative gunfights and the unbelievable plotting keeps this from being a much better story than it can be, though it still beats SOA. That ain't a high bar to hurdle, though. It's still watchable to me, though a lot of reviewers have said they can't stand it any more.

Extraordinary

Warning: Spoilers
Anyone who rates this a 7 or less should just stop watching and reviewing the series, as nothing will satisfy you at this point, especially if this episode didn't cut it for you. This was, for me, the most satisfying and productive episode of the season so far. There has been movement and development on just about every front. The war with SOA, Bishop & Taza's tension, Adelita & Angel's trauma, Emily moving back into the fold (likely to run to EZ), Canche finally dies in a shocking manner, Manny likely doesn't trust EZ anymore, and we have the little side story with the two women connected to the Mayans and SOA. On top of that there were some riveting character development scenes for both Creeper & Gilly, both of whom have been on the back burner for the first few seasons. I'm excited to see how the last two episodes play out, I can't imagine they'll disappoint.

On Point!

Warning: Spoilers
Okay Ive just found this show and have binged 4 seasons in 3 days! This is what I've done on my vacation... and I have to say I love it! I think it's better than SOA. I Love the Reyes brothers, every season gets better and better! The suspense the thrill... Im dying to see what happens to Miguel... waiting for him to come back into his power and be a total bad ass! And to find out he has brothers! And honestly He and Emily belong together, but since she ran he will have to kidnap her and force her to remember why she married him 😁 Im thinking at some point EZ will become the Prez.. And again the Golden boy gets all the attention. I hope something really good happens for Angel too. 💕

Went too far this time.

Warning: Spoilers
This show has had some issues with gun battles. The one in the first episode this season was problematic on several fronts. But this episode might've been worse. These guys entered a hospital, heavily armed and unnoticed until the elevator doors open and then it's the OK corral with AK's instead of pistols and shotguns, and it was in a hospital and not a corral. EZ steals his X and shoots her in cold blood. We know EZ has become hardened but would he so easily murder a completely innocent person that he once had feelings for? Are we supposed to just ignore the fact that two groups staged a shootout at a hospital and got away unscathed and then went to the club for some beer and smokes and not give a single fvck about the possibility that the cops might be there at any moment to investigate a motorcycle club that was involved in a shootout, leaving several people dead and wounded. A couple hundred cameras would've caught all or most of the perpetrators images.

And if you think this episode was great, fine, give it a 10. But don't admonish other reviewers who aren't as quick to overlook illogical occurrences.
