The Mentally Ill On Death Row: Cruel or Justified? About 10 percent of the 3,600 prisoners on death row have an IQ score of less than 70...they're considered retarded. If a retarded person murders someone in cold blood and they are proven guilty...is execution justified or is the death penalty in violation of the American standards of decency? How would you decide - death penalty or rehabilitation?

Once you let the genie out of the bottle you cannot put it back, it will only lead to the "slippery slope" of human reproductive cloning. In contrast, we can restrict and control human reproductive cloning by laws and ethics standards.

If people object to the right to die, then let them end their days as they wish and leave the rest of us alone to make our own choices. Alternately, we may be on a slippery slope that is very dangerous for those of us who want to live in a society that values and protects life.

Military preparedness in the U.S. is lacking and that invites terrorist attack. We must build forces. In contrast, intelligence is not integrated and military battle alone takes huge resources and sacrifice of human life, which will not win the war. The best offense is a strong defense.
