Cal and Gillian are posing of husband and wife to the producer Olson, telling him that Gillian wants to fulfill a fantasy of a threesome with a porn star and they show who she is. When Olson takes her phone from the file, they leave his office. The Lightman Group is trying to help Coach Dawkins, whose daughter Molly runaway home and became a porn star. Dawkins and his daughter Amy are looking for her, but Cal suspects he is hiding information. First, they believe he abused his daughter, but they see that he really loves her. When they locate Molly, she tells them that her father killed her mother. Now Cal and Ben search the truth. Meanwhile, Torres and Loker dispute a promotion promised by Lightman.
"Darkness and Light" is a great episode of "Lie to Me", with a dramatic story. The situation of Molly is sad, but the girl could have looked for a job as waitress or other simple job. Becoming a porn star, would be the last choice for a honest woman. The funny part of the show is the dispute of Torres and Loker for the promotion in The Lightman Group. My vote is eight.
