Warning: Spoilers
Something has escaped from that fertility clinic and went on a killing rampage.

The local police investigate but a shifty man called Hennessey (Kenneth Cranham) from the government takes over. There is certainly something sinister going on. This was not a fertility clinic.

With such savage slaughter, Hennessey calls in Lily Savage to communicate in sign language with a monkey.

Meanwhile at a nearby farm, the kids of the farmer are getting friendly with a scarecrow. Is this a remake of Worzel Gummidge?

I am not surprised that the man from the ministry sent the police packing. Their prime suspect was Peter Carson who raced to the clinic after hearing a message from Tracy.

Surely this clean cut man with spotless clothes could not have committed such slaughter. He would be soaked in blood. The police need to look for a primate suspect!

With almost a new cast, this lost a lot of momentum as it becomes a procedural. Only at the end the body count starts to go up again.

It's an intriguing watch.

Peter Carson responds to Tracy's dramatic cry for help, but as he nears the Institution, he's pulled by the Police, and asked to identify her body. Alison Wells also returns, she encounters Peter.

I am addicted to this show, I could very easily binge watch the whole lot in one go, but I am going to stretch it over two nights.

After the gory conclusion of episode one, it settles down into a suspense and mystery show, who or what was responsible for the blood bath? There's definitely something of a sci fi angle to it.

I assumed Tracy would be the lead character, it's now obvious who the leads are.

Where did that little boy get that voice from? It's quite something.

The burning question, would we get to see it? You'll have to watch it to find out.

How dark was that scene where Peter was asked to identify Tracy, not sure that's that most sympathetic Police work I've ever seen.

Watch out for Pip Torrens, Paul O'Grady and of course Roy Cropper.

7/10.
