Great idea, great graphics, great confusion on the target audience

I enjoy watching this whenever I catch it on TVE of Spain, which is basically Sunday mornings. The idea of developing characters from within Miro paintings and setting them off to adventures inside the museum is great. It's like a cross between those yellow creatures from the Despicable Me franchise and A Night at the Museum movies.

Much as I appreciate the premise and the tenacity on the visual front, the stories aren't that great. They could have embellished things better, preferably by vocalizing a bit more the characters rather than sticking with baby voices.

I don't know if they intentionally targeted pre-K toddlers, but if they have, I just don't see the point of skipping a greater audience of primary school children, and even adults who would enjoy the graphics.

I believe they should work on this concept to make it palatable to people who can follow more complex and less esoteric storylines.

The way it is constructed now, it can appeal only to the subconscious of toddlers, which I find a bit odd.
