I'd carve my face on the moon, so the moon would look like my face!

Warning: Spoilers
"Tree Trunks" introduces the most sweet and charming character in the show so far to us; Tree Trunks! Tree Tree Trunks is an old elephant that loves making apple pies, so much so that she is determined to find a magical crystal apple in a(very conveniently placed) spooky forest. So, F and J take her on a magical trip to find said apple, and on their way encounter, a wall of flesh, spooky signposts, and (my personal favourite) KEYBOARD SKELETONS!!

I loved this episode almost as much as "Slumber Party Panic", because of the sweet innocence of T.T., the amazing monsters that were fought, and the (kinda) dark ending. I hope Tree Trunks comes back, although that ending scene with her in the crystal place would have been pointless if she doesn't.

This episode was charming, funny, and a biiiiit odd. I have to admit, I felt a bit awkward at time. Especially when you realize that an old lazy was trying to seduce a giant brain monster.

THE FLIES WANTED IT, THEY CAN HAVE IT.

Warning: Spoilers
This could be just another episode, but the owner is always happy in the episode, except in one part, She doesn't show any danger from monsters, that's the charm of the episode.

Tree Trunks is not as annoying as I remember

Warning: Spoilers
Playful with some concepts and dark with others, this episode is simple to understand, but fun nonetheless. Tree Trunks is not the most likeable character - I also didn't like her very much when I was a child watching the show, but watching now I think she works very well with Finn and Jake's chemistry. She brings out what they lack. I still don't like her very much, but I appreciate her presence and her unique approach ( even when her attempt to escape a bad situations is by flirting ). The visuals (as always) are nice, the little details as well. I loved the crystal Tree Trunks dancing with the disturbing butterflies. Good episode overall.

Crazy Trunks

I just love how crazy weird this episode gets and with Tree Trunks' first appearance in the entire series, it's quite hilarious how her calm demeanour contrast to the more outlandish and hostile creatures. Honestly, a really good episode all the way through!

I'm just a cute little elephant...

Warning: Spoilers
This episode has to get a perfect rating, if only for its sheer unadulterated weirdness. If somebody hasn't seen Adventure Time before, this healthful slice would be a lovely introduction. They would say "what the heck am I watching right now?"

It's packed full of so much goodness - like one of Tree Trunks's famous home baked apple pies.

The character of Tree Trunks is one of my favourites, so I have to appreciate an episode that revolves solely around her and her quest for the Crystal Gem apple. Her personality really shines through here: a mix of self consciousness and naïveté with womanly wiles and a sense of adventure. Also, the voice actor who voices TT is so spot on that it's eerie.

To top it off, we not only get the amazing TT, but also:
  • an animated wall of flesh
  • some kind of brain snake gem creature (TT attempts to seduce)
  • walking signs
  • a skull headed butterfly creature
  • the mimicking crystal guardians

This little episode is just brimming with inventiveness and charm - like Tree Trunks herself.

In the end she is able to transcend into the crystal realm.

Tree Trunks is just a dreadful character, annoying and offensive and above all unfunny. I don't understand why she is in the show. She doesn't get any better, either. Just about every scene with her across the entire show is bad. This is where it all started.

"Tree Trunks" (1x04)

Warning: Spoilers
"Tree Trunks" is a well made-enough episode, but I don't really care for it because it introduces one of my least favorite side characters: the titular Tree Trunks. While tolerable in small doses, she just grates when given an episode to herself.
