Unbelievable film where hit men meet zombies.
guestar579 May 2011
Let us see what we shall see in this film- Two hit men go on this incredible rampage and know that the police are just about to arrest them,

Why not get a hostage and that will fix everything.

One scene is right out of Death Proof,When Stuntman Mike introduces himself to his future victims. You know Quentin Tarantino would like this film,Except for the lack of cameos. This Jason Impey film is almost an Urban Legend, Many versions exist due to censors questioning and Maxim Media has released this one. So film is a flashback,grind-house…Zombie subplot.. That about covers it.

Garden-set indie thriller
Leofwine_draca1 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
ESCAPED CONVICTS is another short film from amateur director Jason Impey, shot in his back garden in Milton Keynes. The main characters are a couple of on-the-lam escaped convicts who hole up in a suburban garden only to discover that they've encountered a new kind of danger. Running at 51 minutes, this is way too long for the slimness of the storyline, the acting is of a very poor quality, and the only memorable scene - for all the wrong reasons - involves a topless woman climbing out of a bin bag to tear a man's guts out!

Tortured
a_baron25 May 2016
A previous reviewer asked how did a film like this ever get made? While that question has yet to be answered, his other suggestion that a 4 year old could have written a better script is to be taken half-seriously, because there are indeed professionally crafted adventure stories on YouTube that have been made by kids not much older than that with little or no adult help, and on an even smaller budget. So what can be said about this rubbish? For rubbish it is. No plot worthy of the name, a couple of jokers for whom profanity is a way of life together with obscene sexual innuendo about women, other men, and each other. The rape scene is disgusting, but credible, as for the rest...A film should have a beginning, a middle and an end; if it is exceptional, they need not come in that order; this one is exceptional only in its mediocrity, and the end comes shortly after the beginning.

Having said all that, "Tortured" has three distinct merits: its brevity, nothing is lost by making its viewing part of your multitasking operation, and its total worthlessness will help you appreciate even the half-decent films you watch in its aftermath.

Promising Name and Cover-Art (At Least)
DarkSpotOn7 September 2023
I went into this expecting to get something by the lines of Martyrs or I Spit On Your Grave, instead i got a horror random non-sense.

First off, the acting and audio was horrible. I barely understood what these people said. There are NO subtitles so i barely followed the story, but there isn't really anything to follow. Two man children are killing people for no apparent reason, and then they get killed by zombies. That's it.

You know, i this is a movie from the United Kingdom, the same country that gave us AMAZING movies like Snatch and This Is England, and Triangle. And then this comes in, and just stomps on that.

The story, what story? This felt like a 9 year old wrote, with his buddies. The gore effects are tame as heck. There is tiny bit of gore, but that looks like it couldn't be cheaper.

Oh there is only ONE positive i can give this movie: It's only 57 minutes long! Meaning it's not anything too super long, to torture you for 2 - 3 hours like Inland Empire did, (That movie is just as bad as this).

You know, when i got into this... I am not suprised how cheap this movie is why? Because i watched garbage that fits into the same pile as this like Goregasm, Pussy Kills, Begotten, August Underground, Ostermontag, The Necro Files. This is for those people, that like nearly plotless, boring, prolonged, amateur movies. As for me, nope.

Is this the worst movie ive seen this year? Actually no. Not as bad as American Antichrist, and Daisies for example.

How do movies like this even get made?
dominion7625115 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This review contains spoilers (as if there was anything to spoil).

I am a big B-movie, horror, exploitation fan. I love those movies as much as anyone and have often thought about trying to make my own. But, as Clint Eastwood once wisely noted, "a man's got to know his limitations". That being said, I can appreciate a movie that pushes the boundaries and accomplishes a lot with very little. This movie doesn't fall into that category. This one will leave you scratching your head and wondering how it even got a video release. The plot was idiotic- a 4 year old could have written a better script. Two retards escape from jail and decide that their key to freedom is to kidnap a girl and rape her. Really? Just damn. The whole movie seemed like an excuse just to do a rape scene. All production values were non-existent. This thing looks like it was shot on a camcorder. The actors were pathetic: I think none of them had ever acted before. The sound was horrible. The one outdoor scene where the wind was blowing too hard on the mic and it obscured what they were saying was priceless. The zombie subplot was useless: a mere flash-forward at the beginning of the movie, not related to anything else, and it was only one scene lasting a few seconds (if you could even get through the grating 5+ minute moronic dialog between the two imbeciles that starts this opus). The whole movie after that was just an excuse to drop as many f-bombs as possible. (Also, what is it with the Brit's obsession with the "c" word?? Even the girls used it!) Fortunately (?) I got to see the uncut version. I guess it was heavily censored upon its first release attempt. We can appreciate the gratuitous nudity and the infamous gun/masturbation scene, but there just wasn't anything else. Period. Definitely not enough to bother with it, anyways.

This flick is utter trash. It doesn't even fall into the "so bad it's good" category. Don't waste your time. When so many good movies haven't even made it to DVD yet, I am constantly amazed that crap like this can actually make it to a national video chain and be seen by a potentially large audience. Amazing. 1 out of 10.

So bad, not even funny bad...just terrible.
itsmike11118 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This film is so bad it actually hurts to watch it. Two rejects from a pitiful, low budget, mob movie decide to kidnap and rape a woman from a bar, after a bad lesbian bathroom scene, during the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. There is a lot of build up that goes nowhere. The acting is amateurish at best. The camera work shoddy. This movie has no redeeming features, and the blue ray comes with a COMMENTARY and the original movie trailer.

This "movie" (I feel bad calling it one) has only 6 chapters. The special effects are the quality of a 1950's movie. The cover has nothing to do with the movie. You should ask for a refund Before purchasing it.
