Italian comic Polidor decides to throw himself from the top of a tall ladder when he is unable to pay off his creditors; however, climbing the ladder proves more eventful than expected. A middling comedy for the period, not many laughs and Polidor mugs incessantly, but comparatively sophisticated compared to many contemporaneous European comedies that seemed to focus obsessively on destroying their sets.
