A tragic story.
Sleepin_Dragon2 March 2022
A young woman takes in an older lodger, who claims to be reasonable, clean living man, it starts well, until he makes a worrying admission.

The first time I had any awareness of poor Maribel, and her tragic story.

This is just an incredibly sad story, that poor young woman, and her family, what seems so shocking is that so little seemed to be done to help her, she clearly felt terrifiied by KC's presence.

Well made, well told, an interesting, but very sad story, 7/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Maybe because I live in UK I did not hear about this. Horrible story! Feel so bad about this lovely woman losing her life to that crazy guy. Feel horrible for sister too. Too bad full background checks might not have been done before choosing a roommate!

K.C. Joy killed Maribel Ramos

Warning: Spoilers
A war veteran named Maribel fought after 9/11 then came back home to live with her mom. Their mom died in 2009 and Maribel wanted her sister to move in but her sister was settled. Maribel finds a roommate online who is an educated Korean man. He is older and wouldn't make too much distractions in the home as Maribel studied at Cal State Fullerton. Maribel does not show up for a baseball game and her family becomes concerned. They immediately go to her home and call the police. KC is out of the picture as he is watching them from his car. The police track KC's movements and watch him go to the library and Google map search the exact location where Maribel's body was found. KC was charged with 15 years to life in prison.

Not Horrible
But this story has been told MANY times, which in and of itself is fine, but this retelling offers nothing to Maribels story, and offers even less details than the Dateline version that was much better produced.
