As entertaining as you'd expect a Mirchi Shiva movie to be!
TreeFiddy5318 March 2023
Imagine a major Kollywood producer came to you and asked you to write an AI-gone-rogue story.....for Mirchi Shiva. Knowing his style, delivery and content, what would you write?

This film, albeit a nothing-burger movie, a waste of time if you will, if you suspend logic (which the film asks you to do) this is a masterpiece. LOL Hear me out. Some of the most random stuff happens in this film, which is what you'd expect from a Mirchi Shiva film but if you put it in the context of the recent AI-boom meets Kollywood, you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Casting Mano was an interesting choice. The editor needs a mention. But, as I said, the writing was the....highlight of the film LOL. If you had to write an AI-"family entertainer" for the typical Kollywood audience, this is what it would be. Of course, there's a lot of stuff wrong with the script, but when has Kollywood ever considered that? LOL If you have some time to kill/want to have fun with friends, want to watch something mindless on a lazy afternoon, you should consider watching this.

Well executed but still something was missing
ngandacinema29 March 2023
4S hit all the right buttons by introducing us to a metaverse world. Nonetheless, something was still missing to really get us excited

DELICIOUS

-Let's talk about the title's intentional acronym '4S', putting an emphasis on the phone technology theme, well thought out😃 4S gave us a peek at what the metaverse world to come

-No criticism on the CGI and visual effects, everything was executed accurately and precisely. The interactive phone and other digital animations kept 4S interesting.

-Another great component was the amusing costume design, especially when it came to Shankar and his father

-The robotic choreography was a smart move and reinforced the technological aspect of the movie 👏🏾

BLAND

What probably didn't work with 4S being unable to be transported into the story as we were mostly observers. The dialogues were very cheesy that we didn't even have the opportunity to laugh.

The acting was either ordinary or over-dramatic.

The fact that Shiva didn't personalize his character by bringing out a memorable aspect made it easy to forget 4S after watching it.

first AI mockery Tamil film
saru202025 March 2023
This is probably the first mockery kinda Tamil film made with AI with a decent plot that's good enough to keep us hooked but IDK why but I really don't like actors who act like acting in the films and Siva is the only person in Tamil film industry who's still surviving by doing this silly act for a very long period of time, so unsurprisingly he's the problem of this entire film since all his films follow the same pattern of mockery & comedy sequences, it makes this film unlikeable/unwatchable.

Although the plot was loosely based on the 'Upload' series, the story had decent scenes & the screenplay was also good enough to keep us hooked till the very end.

And this film being the first of its own kind, it is much appreciable that the movie industry is at least bringing up such tech-based content.

Overall, it's a one-time watchable film if you're a tech enthusiast and would ignore Siva's annoying act.

Worth watching...!

Out and out entertainment with mostly comedy screenplay with bit of love and emotions. It is a really good romcom movies in recent time. All the characters performed really well. Except one unwanted daddy character played by Mano sir, it is totally unnecessary for the movie track. Creativity of what an AI phone can do gone crazy, excellent, at times, it felt like mix of classic "Zee Boom Baa" movie and modern Enthiran. Carried all the emotions in a perfect way to the extent, it made me to think me as a character within the movie. Very satisfied with performances, directions, animation and all the team work. Animations in the climx feels bit funny but does not spoil the mood of the movie. I used to be fan of Shiva but his recent movies really upset me a lot for which this movie came as a enjoyable bonanza. Kudos to everyone. Expecting well crafted Part 2.
