DCI Janine Lewis and her team investigate the murder of a young up-and-coming rock star in his own apartment. There is no shortage of suspects (girlfriend, current and former band members, manager, etc.), and Janine has an extra incentive to solve this case: the victim was a favorite of her own teenage daughter.
This is probably the best Season 5 episode of "Blue Murder" up to this point, thanks to amusing interactions between the regular cast members ("You already phoned her with the toxicology report, didn't you?" - "Yeah") and a fairly complex story, though the most unexpected revelation has nothing to do with the murder itself. **1/2 out of 4.
